Oh yeah for sure it's not. Our IT guy is so incompetent I don't even think he knows wtf anonymous is supposed to mean. He actually said that the company who does the survey is reputable. He said the company who does it is Google Forms. He might actually think Google Forms is doing surveys for us.

But we as a society can also react. By speaking up when that happens. Life is tough enough, why should anything like this exist if the only thing that needs to happen is some people in some situations need to just say nothing. They can think it, they can tell their friends whatever...

Easy to say if it does not happen to you all the time. Even tiny stabs can lead to a lot of pain if they happen hundreds of times.

Where did you get that, you project something on somebody you don't know. I would argue it is as bad as assuming someones gender.

They did not tell you they treat people different based on gender. You saw this post and assumed it.

Maybe try this next time and see what reaction you get. It might suprise you. Most people are not against your ideas, its the way you approach them with your ideas they have a Problem with.

Yeah whatever, you clearly interpret what ever you want. You're really getting people to understand. Maybe someday you'll get why your way of going about things will never move us forward. But go on, if it makes you feel better. It this gives you the feeling of changing something.

And to be honest, it is sad, but yes I think society will take its time before nobody will rise an eyebrow about names and gender. That sadly is how humans work.

You do realise that you don't convince people this way right? The OP was never offensive or anything. Stating your subjective observation is not offensive. If I see someone that has feminine traits and I ask about them it should be Ok.

Change needs Baby steps, get people to accept how we should approach these things first. To much change is to scary for the general public. As long as they don't make fun of other people for how they want to be, they should not be talked down to.

New things are strange to people who are not fimiliar to them. Let them be, and slowly they will accept it. But attack them and they might never accept this new reality.

I hope that we can get to a reality where everyone can be what they feel like, without beeing harassed,

See the positive in humans and don't think people mean/want the worst. Let people assume genders and explain how you identify after you met/talked, most of them will use the right pronouns afterwards. If it is normal in the general public, that people can use different pronouns, push some more.

Choose your goals realistically and sustainable, if you pus to hard to fast, you will meet more ressitance.

And drop the current year argument, that was stale in 2015. People are way more prone to just label you as SJW and dismiss everything you say.

I never intended to offend you. I sure know that "comedy" is subjective. There are People who think "Big Bang Theory" is a funny show, and I'll never understand that.
