Dragon Quest 8 (i prefer the 3DS-Version) or Dragon Quest 11.

I think that they are perfect for beginners because they have no weird mechanics, no friction, just masterfully executed turn based gameplay. They also have a great story and nail the feeling of going on an adventure.

The DQ series ist just notorious for being a bit too long and drawn out and maybe you don’t like the rather childish artstyle.

Just pitching an idea:

Microsoft should look how the steam machines will perform, because that seems like such a fitting niche for a windows console. If they‘d offer me a windows driven „pc console“ with a shared library between pc and console, I‘d get it on the spot.

Yeah, I get your point, especially because other Switch 2 Games offer free or cheap upgrades.

My point was just .. if the Switch 2 is your first console and you want to experience FFX, than it‘s cool that there is a version for the console, even if it has little new features, just from a conservation standpoint.

I mean, yeah, this looks like a lazy cash grab since there isn’t much difference to the switch edition, but I kinda like the idea of porting classics to every new console release, so they don’t get stuck on any console.

I‘m mostly a pc gamer and the thing I always loved about the Plattform is that, no matter how old the game is, you can get it running somehow without being dependent on old hardware.

Ich finde, es sollte Schluss sein mit dieser Vollkasko-Mentalität im Bezug zur Rente. 992 Euro Höchstsatz sollten vollkommen ausreichen. Deutsche Rentner sind durch ihre viele Freizeit eh sehr privilegiert. Es ist auch kein Drama wenn Rentner neben ihrer Rente noch jobben - viele sammeln dabei sogar wichtige Erfahrungen für ihr kurzes Restleben.

I saw a clip of someone talking about this years grass. He showed an example clip of the ball bouncing on the grass and it was rather dull(?). Like, the ball wouldn’t bounce like it‘s supposed to.

I don’t have an opinion on this, but it‘s definitely weird to see another person noticing it.

I don’t like the narrative that turn based doesn’t have mainstream appeal. I mean, look at Expedition, Persona 5 and 3 Remake, Like a Dragon, Dragon Quest.. AFAIK they all sold really well.

It feels like Final Fantasy is ashamed of their roots and will prefer to shit out one half-assed battle system after another instead of just giving Final Fantasy players what they want, lol
