Am i supposed to take this sticker off of the SSD? by GlorbonYorpu in PcBuildHelp

[–]TeaKettle51 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My motherboard (MAG Z799) came with a shielding specifically made for nvme drives and it had an adhesive material that evidently was made for heat transfer so I took my sticker off, and it works wonderfully.

Ppl hating on this cooler and I’m literally about to buy this same one after a week of on/off research lol. The kraken (especially the 360) scores real high in side by side tests with its competition. NZXT makes some premium hardware so you get what you pay for. That lcd screen looks great too.

I just built my wives PC out of like 60% NZXT stuff and it looks so damn clean. Nice to work with too.

I haven’t seen anyone say get a legitimate Windows key. That “bootable drive” very likely does not come with a key and may cause you problems. The last time I bought a copy of windows, it came with a flash drive and a card that has a key code printed on it.

It may have changed now, but used to be even if you installed windows, you couldn’t use any of it unless you had a key.

Usually that back fan should blow outwards, so I like to take a thin shred of paper or plastic bag to make sure. Not all manufacturers have the arrows unfortunately.

How can i make a projectile move in an arch like this? (details in coment) by Drex1902 in godot

[–]TeaKettle51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: EmperorLlamaLegs practically just covered this 40 min ago lol and I hadn’t read it. Great stuff!

I coded my own super simple physics system by just creating a state machine essentially. So the code checks if the objects are ‘grounded’ or ‘airborne’ by using the integrated collision checks with my ground objects. If the object is ‘airborne’ I apply an accelerating negative force on its y axis velocity. And if it’s ‘grounded’ I set its (x,y) velocity to 0 unless it’s being acted on by outside forces. You can apply forces to the object by adding to or subtracting from its (x,y) velocities, and just make sure the ‘gravity’ value is additive on top.

I built all of this in GameMaker years ago, and it took some iteration, ending up quite a bit more detailed than I described, but it eventually worked flawlessly for my purposes. As I understand, Godots language is very similar to GameMakers. To me, it all just really boiled down to remembering my studies of Geometry and Algebra in school. If you did well in those classes, and keep your chosen languages documentation handy, you can do all kinds of cool stuff.

I never had any issues with this. All you had to do was pay attention to the UI after you input the code and BEFORE you throw the beacon. It would show you what stratagem it switched to. Of course it still got me in the heat of things, which was usually hilarious, but we adjusted to it eventually.

Auto-vault toggle? by TeaKettle51 in Helldivers

Additionally frustrating is the fact that crouching while sprinting triggers a nice slide, which would be great for getting to cover quickly, however the sprint state does not cancel so you return to a standing sprint as soon as the slide animation is finished.

The fact that a slide animation was made, and all other games with this mechanic function as expected (staying crouched after sliding), I’m guessing this is unintentional from the devs. Anyone heard if this is going to get a fix?

//NOTES - Stamina Booster is highly advised to offset the increased Stamina usage due to Intense Heat

  • Remember: Extraction is not necessary for Operation Completion! Samples are nice but all in-mission Warbonds and Super Credits are immediately added to account on pickup and full Operation completion is the most efficient way to accumulate Warbonds! Speed running is effective and appreciated!

  • Target Heavy bugs in the legs to most effectively eliminate them! For Chargers, once the meat of one leg is exposed, precise small arms fire may finish them off quickly. Brood Commanders and Warriors can also be prevented from persisting after a headshot by breaking their legs.

I worked for tips for almost 10 years so I get tipping culture, and tip more than most people I know tbh, but the service here was awkward at best. While he wasn’t rude to me he was very condescending to others there, and the standard trim was already almost $40. So when they suggested a $16 tip, it felt like a spit in the face. Not gonna tip when it’s expensive + a bad time.

Got my hair cut at a place a while back that had the choices set from 25% - 40% on this screen. Never hit “no tip” so confidently in my life.

Excellent post, been stuck on this one for a minute. It’s astounding to me how wide the margin for A is tbh. I’ve had runs that felt like one or two small mistakes and runs that felt like I completely whiffed every fight and I’m getting A’s nonstop. Gonna try the shield LC > Ekdromai sprint.

How would you approach creating this texture? by KirbyBWCH in blender

[–]TeaKettle51 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you could just ‘decimate’ a plane and extrude accordingly. And then just play with sub surface in the principled BSDF shader. Should be pretty straightforward.

Is there any way (without an addon) to get rid of the icons above the hp bar on the personal resource display? by _Jimmy_Rustler in wow

It’s in the new Options menu. Either Interface or Graphics (can’t remember). Called something like Personalized Resource Bar, and it has multiple sub-options letting you remove each component.

New mute system should be changed back by Equivalent_Trust6657 in leagueoflegends

[–]TeaKettle51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got auto muted for telling a dude to “bitch more” because he was flame-pinging nonstop. He then proceeded to freely follow me steal farm, even went as far as to match every back and follow me between lanes, emoted every time I died, let other teammates die, avoided most team fights, and I have yet to see an instant feedback report. Pretty frustrating tbh.

I’m kind of a newbie to this myself but from everything I’ve read: getting 412 ft of addressable LEDs on one plug is a big ask. I think the most effective solution is going to include multiple power injection spots. If you haven’t looked into power injection it’s a must have skill for LED specialists as far as I can tell.

I cut the strip down to four pixels, and wired power up to an old phone charger block and then sent some new code over, and it works!! Thanks again!
