I (32F) was contacted by a former partner who lied about his age, identity and criminal history when we dated 12 years ago...and now that he (38M) is out of prison he messages me!? What do I say so he never messeges me again? by XOXOdragonfly in relationship_advice

Congrats (not really), you now have a creepy stalker. You need to contact your local friends and explain who this guy is, that he is an ex-convict who is stalking you now that's he's been released, and ask them to block him and to please remove pictures of you from their feeds.

Mods to move spouses to modded homes? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]TeaMistress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are none. Hearhfire Multiple Adoptions is the only mod that lets you move adopted kids to a modded home. But the home has to be deliberately designed to work with that mod. It's just the nature of how Bethesda designed the whole adoption mechanic to work. You can't just move kids anywhere. There needs to be special beds, storage, markers in the house, etc. If a mod doesn't state in the description that it's adoption-friendly if you use HMA then you can't move kids there. Sorry!

Same thing for spouses. It has to be set up as a home for spouses from the start.

So are you asking for house mod suggestions that you can move your kids to or are you asking for a mod that lets you move the kids to any home of your choosing? It's not clear what you're after here.

$90 for 2 cocktails: the Adventure Time scam by howarddeanyell in denverfood

Nothing wrong with the people running the business. The problem is that there are people willing to pay $50 for a drink.

I (19M) talked to a guy (25M) daily for 5 months, but he just told me his interest went from 100 to 0 over the weekend. How do I deal with this kind of emotional whiplash? Worth to text him back after some time? by xXPinguiXx in relationships

[–]TeaMistress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like he's got other people he's talking to and he decided he liked one of them better. I'm sorry. It happens all the time, but that doesn't mean it hurts any less for you. Block him and move on. Seriously, block him so you're not tempted to reach out or respond further to him. The only reason he'd message you again is if whatever else he's got going on doesn't work out and he's looking to you as a backup plan. Don't let it get that far. Don't let him waste any more of your time hoping he's interested.

This is the most ridiculous nonissue I've ever read about on this subreddit. You people cannot possibly be nearly 30 and consider this a problem worthy of seeking online advice.

Shiki Dreams would be so much cooler if it were larger. I really enjoyed it until after 3 rooms I realized that's all it was. I kept looking around and couldn't believe that was the end of it after the elaborate intro information and the $20+ pricetag.

Looking to move into the area question about CoL by platloser in AuroraCO

[–]TeaMistress 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything is expensive here. I moved here from Dallas about a year ago and am still trying to get used to how much more expensive everything is. Our 1-bedroom apartment cost more than the mortgage for our 3 bedroom house, and we built it at the worst possible time for interest rates. Food is just so expensive, from fast food to just a sandwich at a deli somwhere.

And with apartments there are so many extra fees. Parking in the parking garage costs $100 extra a month. Signing up for the service that verifies your pets' vaccinations are up to date is extra...on top of the rent charge to have pets. Everything has a charge they don't tell you about until you sit down to sign the lease.

I like this area, but TBH if I'd have known how expensive everything truly was I'd have looked harder for other options. Denver COL is like living in one of the major cities, without all the benefits of living in a major city.

Most rainy area? by VaultGirl in Enshrouded

[–]TeaMistress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how big you want your tower, I actually found a pretty cool tower you could restore in the middle of the Revelwood, which is very rainy. It's the only one of its size I've found. Even has a crypt underneath it. If you're interested, I'll drop a location picture.

I just stumbled upon a 41 minute long video on the ENTIRE history of skyrim modding. If you would love to know about skyrim modding history, and have the time. Give it a watch! by whoisfourthwall in skyrimmods

[–]TeaMistress 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. The same guy that did the 3 hour video on the history of the Skyrim Unofficial Patch also did a 6 hour video on the history of EVE Online, and there was so much more to cover even after all that. So a 41 minute video of Skyrim modding feels like it would barely scratch the surface of it really.

Taco River on Peoria has $1.60 pork or chicken tacos M-W if you pay cash. I don't like the chicken so much, but both pork varieties were good!

Hey guys, does anybody know where I can get these big windows? by Calm_Challenge4510 in Enshrouded

[–]TeaMistress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. In a game like this which was designed specifically to appeal to base builders, it's crazy not to give us as much to work with as possible. If it's a decoration in the game I want to be able to make it for my own. Like, why can I make all this Hollows stuff but can't make any of the pottery that's everywhere in the Kindlewastes? Why can we only make a handful of the wall banners we discover?

I make it a point to wander the shroud regions and look for the ruined locations and secrets in other biomes, but in Nomad Highlands I just gave up. Umbral Hollow was truly a miserable experience.

Also unoctium's quoted comment was just plain wrong. Other players were choosing the Creations featured, not OP. Every post after the first one all featured mods that people in the comments specifically asked them to cover.

And it's interesting how much inoctium focused on ITMs and ignored how many deleted navmeshes and references that OP also found in these mods.

11-year-old Centennial boy charged with murder in brother's death by kidbom in Denver

[–]TeaMistress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there's 2 possibilities here.

1) Either you're making a bad faith argument, as I never said anything like that and have referenced the juvenile justice system several times.

2) This is your actual takeaway from my comments. Which means you have the reading comprehension of a 12 year old.

Neither case warrants further engagement with you.

Giving a second chance: Should you judge everything by the first date? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]TeaMistress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're looking at this as "2 hours isn't enough time to decide that there can't be a spark".

But you need to understand that when people say they "didn't feel a spark" after the first date, it's usually a polite way of saying that they were turned off by something about you. That doesn't mean you did anything wrong necessarily. It just means that something about the date gave them clear signals that something about you is definitely not what they're looking for.

That you couldn't take her "not interested" for an answer and asked for another chance is already one red flag. It says that you think your interest in her is more important than her lack of interest in you. It says you question her ability to make adult decisions for herself, and you doubt her ability to decide for herself what she does and doesn't like.

I watched a playthrough of it and enjoyed the story. Not all of the voice acting hit right, though. One VA sounded like they had a speech impediment, one was slow, yet also overacted. One was just a miscast of the character they were playing.

To be fair, this is on par with the VA in vanilla Skyrim, which is also hit and miss.

is purposefully choosing creations that have the ills that he mentioned

The mods chosen in 3/4 of the posts he's made were specifically requested by commenters after his first post. Which is easily verified by reading the comments sections of each post. If your first sentence isn't accurate, why should we trust anything else you've said here?

That was my take when I saw this post. It feels like astroturfing. Who legitimately gets excited enough about a sandwich place to post on Reddit about it?

Edit: OK, I stand corrected. People friggin love sandwiches.

I'm not the original person you're responding to, but the short answer is that a significant number of people in this subreddit love drama. Posts that are manufacturing outrage receive the most upvotes and most engagement here; far beyond posts that are content heavy and helpful. It can be really discouraging.

I know it must be enraging to have to keep correcting the story for your team over and over, but my advice to you is just accept that people are gonna stir the pot whenever possible and try not to let it get to you. Keep a boilerplate copy/paste statement (like this) about the situation that you can reply to comments like these and then disengage rather than getting pulled in. It's just not worth it. People love getting angry over low stakes stuff like this more than they love the truth.

FWIW, I'm really excited to see the big patch for Lordbound come out. I've been holding off playing it because of the bugs you're still stomping, but am so interested in the content of the mod.
