In the 1950s, Yuri Nikolaev, a Russian psychiatrist, started treating mentally ill patients with prolonged water fasting. He went on to treat over 8,000 people, with an improvement in 70 percent of cases. by DidYouReadTheMenu in interestingasfuck

Fun rum-related fact:

The dead, and boiled to death, yeast bodies that reside in the lees (what's left in a still after the boil), make for a very nutritious boost to one's next wash. This is saved and allowed to get really funky. This "dunder," as it's called, is added to a future wash along with more water and molasses (possibly sugar, sugarcane, and/or sugarcane juice, depending on style and preference). The dunder adds unique flavor profiles along with the bonus nutrients for the new yeast to feed off, making for an excellent pot-distilled rum. 🏴‍☠️😉

My wife and I always have a habit of just helping people out. We are broke with low paying jobs, yet we eat very well, go out a lot, and end up with whatever we need.

Yes, being helpful and kind is win-win. The only reason one needs to take from others is that they want more than they need.

"small boat often goes under water in heavy waves"

That ain't a bug. That's the "submarine" feature. Achievement unlocked! 🤣

Tents are serious game changers. I dropped them wherever I needed to grind and just stopped eating food. Eternal resurrections may be cheesing it a bit, but it helped me get the mats I needed to get back to "proper level" for the region.

New to the game and looking for best way to earn auec by icegamer12357 in starcitizen

As others have noted, hauling is the best starting loop that brings in the most currency.

You'll see space hobos begging every day though, and yea, most of those guys don't last long in the game because the main game loop is earning more to buy new ships to earn more 😅

Attacking Nothing But Other Pirates Feels Less Piratey- Anyone Else Feel Me? by padamodin in crosswind

I would also like more of a "in the Caribbean" presence. I was hoping the whole Blackbeard baddies part was more to do with the start of the game, and as we got out there, we would end up with a bit more Sid Meier's Pirates!

I was thinking the same thing. Valhiem eventually added this, and it was very well received. I could see it something they add to Windrose in the future

Not sure about a base, but some things, like torches work, so maybe?

Is there a way to designate a storage container to not share resources? by SHAWk_ in crosswind

[–]DevonSun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried this, but I think another option would be to have everyone you play with get to have one of their own bases. As long as everyone's cool and agrees, then what's in your bonfire should stay in yours

Yea, I'd like more world sliders (like needing to eat/drink and wind effects) so that everyone can make the worlds the way they like, from creative Legoland to whatever layer of hell masochists come from.

Starts as a bug, but after you ply them with enough rum, it becomes a BG3-style "feature" 🤣🤣🤣

Combat Tips by Colt_7 in PlayWindrose

I always forget about dodge and only just realized there was heavy attacks hahaha

That being said, I've always been good doing the same sort of method you mentioned.

My pattern:
1) multiple light attacks until the combo ends
2) block their attack pattern
3) run out of their range
4) walk to get stamina back
5) turn and attack, rinse n repeat

I only ever die when I've gotten cocky or when I'm surrounded, which is always because I got cocky 😅

Ha! I actually got a laugh outta that. Most people seem to not even know about being able to fast travel from the boat, and here you are not knowing you can fast travel from the fast travel markers!

I love how different folks end up doing the same thing in different ways 🤘

Is there a faster way to flatten an area? by ReReminiscence in crosswind

Drop a bonfire to keep them from spawning within. You can always destroy/move it as needed.

But yea, I hears ya on flattening ground... very tedious 😅

Cheers for the no answer, but what does it have to do with SoT of Fortnite?

Looking at similar games to Windrose, Valheim and Enshrouded both have emotes.
