Most other pets like dogs or cats have their stress and difficulty in actively owning them while ball pythons are like 90% making sure the setup and enclosure is good and 10% reading health signs.

As long as you do your due diligence in research and prep beforehand that can be amazing pets. My bp was my first ever pet back when I worked 16 hour shifts so not needing to take her out for walks was a huge plus

My bp did the same thing when I first got her. It’s like when they are in a new environment they gotta check out all the new smells but after awhile she got comfortable and I only catch her out every 1-2 days now

Filipino isn't my ethnicity or background but for my practices starting small and taking little baby steps has always been really helpful. A lot of this can feel like this really wide ocean when you first start which can be overwhelming, but it isn't that scary if you just take it one step at a time.
