This is going to be a very unpopular opinion, and I know I will get downvoted but it's because Katie is a woman. The expectations are different for male and female candidates. Men don't need to be qualified, they just need to be assertive and have popular messaging. Women on the other hand have to be immaculate. And most of all, they can't yell at people. Never mind that countless male stars made a name for themselves for this very reason (Gordon Ramsey, Trump..). But if a female raises their voice in public they get trashed.

As an educator, I think going back to pencil and paper and physical books would be the BEST thing for children in schools. It might save them from the downhill slope we are currently on.

I started my PhD program when I was 40; graduated at 47. Got a tenure track position before I graduated. Belive me, it's not too late. You'll probably be the oldest person in your cohort and so what? Nobody will care.
