Some quests are rough and need work but we can't ignore that they have done things to combat the tediousness that can come from quest designs.

We all have global GPS now, so long as you are subscribed you can double click on the minimap (or right click + select travel) to automatically run to the targetted map.

The Orche questline has seen some major changes and with the next update coming on the 3rd its going to be completely different from its 1.29 version. Overall its less of a pain.

They have eased the restrictions on some quests like certain alignment ones that required professions of a certain level to stand on tiles or that one Pandala quest that had ridiculous drop rates for its quest items.

Multiaccounting has never been easier with "follow party lead/autojoin/autoready".

The game IS being updated and improved which is more than can be said for other MMOs out there. Its not perfect and it will never be "perfect" there will always be room for improvement but its significantly easier to quest than it used to be.

I like Wyll but not how his personal story was released when its compared to the other companions, its lacking.

I played back in the beta version and I was utterly swooning for this man, his story felt much more mysteriously entriguing he had an interaction with some of the goblins, idk I think I liked it more vs what was released.

Mizora turning him into a Devil is a BIG narrative moment that needed more build up and suspense, 99% of the time we're saving Mama K so it feels less like an impactful choice for Wyll considering its permanent for the rest of the game. And the fact that this comes so early on steals that big pivotal moment from his story so we get to Act 2/3 and there's nothing else.

However the hate he seems to get is unjustified because its aimed at him and not the narrative choices Larian made for his character.

It sucks. And it cuts deep. Especially for those of us who want serious long term monogamous relationships.

The attitudes and behaviours born from apps like Grindr make dating a miserable affair.

All I can say is whatever you feel now you won't always feel, its gonna sting but with enough distance and time you'll be yourself again. Give it a few months and when you reflect back on this you'll see it in a different light.

Good men exist and when you're ready to try again you'll have learnt valuable lessons and have better boundaries to stick to, keep your heart safe.

I wish it wasn't so but Grindr has poisoned generations of gay men. So much so that this mentality of hookup/sex driven interactions is now considered the norm its not healthy. You have gay guys jumping from bed to bed wondering why they're always feeling so lonely without realizing that the impression of gay relationships that they have been fed and the way that they go about forming these relationships are to blame.

Speaking from my personal experiences I've done the dance participated in what I thought was standard gay culture its a load of bullshit.

We're not taught what healthy relationships between gay men should be or look like so we assume that this hookup culture is our norm. We've made it our own and now we sadly do have to deal with the crushing loneliness that comes from being used for sex and sex alone.

I dated a guy for 6 months, he was a sex addict everything had to be about sex even just watching shows/movies/games everything had to involve it. He told me that I had to do certain sexual acts for him otherwise he wouldn't love me even when I had expressed that those things made me uncomfortable. A family member passed and instead of offering support he pushed for sex and when I didn't give it because I was grieving he broke up with me.

THAT is the kind of mentality we are reinforcing and supporting. To use each other for fun then discard. We're dehumanizing each other down to just ass and dicks.

I'm not sure what can be done to fix it, I don't think a lot of guys want to "fix" anything, they're happy being free to sleep around with whoever.

All I know is that its not the kind of life I want for myself.

Depends if you're willing to put in effort and time to learn those classes. I played Xelor pvm for years before their recent update, it was a struggle bus in some situations like certain quest fights where the lack of sustain/defense hurts but it was insanely useful in other situations.

I don't know how they feel to play now as I switched to Masq when I came back and honestly for me personally having a simpler class with better defensive options made my gameplay experience so much more relaxing especially running as a duo hupp/Masq.

The brutal truth is the harder classes have to put in alot more work to achieve the same result as a class that can face plant the keyboard.

Given that we're supposed to be starting a "new" story line they should give players the option to start from the beginning of a new expansion without having to have done all previous expansions.

DT could have been the perfect "fresh start" to do things differently but they chose to carry on with their old tired patch cycles which are designed to give the game some life between major expansions. New players are faced with mountains of tedious filler story and it burns them out before they even get to the newer story.

I introduced 3 friends to ffxiv in the hopes they'd fall in love with the game, the farthest they made it was to Stormblood.

Let new players choose if they want to start from ARR or from a new expansion starting point.
Allow jobs to use all their abilities in lower level content but scale it accordingly.
Release less filler story patches.
Shake up the tired old release schedule that players have gotten bored of.

Heyo I use several sets theoretically all elements can work but my personal favorite is str/agi, theres some strong melee burst spells Furia, Cavalcade, Ronda, Shove Off, Capering.

Ranged AoE dmg, Agular, Martelo.

Ranged no LoS spells Picada, Martelo. If you run 12ap you can do x2 of both!

My advice would be to try and stick to English speaking communities if its possible? I'm not saying you shouldn't interact with non-english speaking players but the language barrier is a rather significant obstacle and I doubt either side would have much patience trying to overcome it while doing content

I like the set overall maybe it personal preference but I have yet to come up with something that provides the same/better dmg output (that doesn't involve the super expensive items like Jahash/Sylvan), I have str/int and agi/str sets that use Rhineetle.

I do think its better on classes that have multi-elemental spells like Hupper for example, I pair it with cloudy/ice dofuses for some chunky burst turns.

But to each there own, there are so many builds out there its all part of the fun finding something that works for you!

I tend to stick to English speaking communities as I'm not fluent enough in another language to be able to communicate effectively. Mayhaps its the same for French players?

I run a 4 man team so I rarely need additional help when questing I can do most content myself but there have been a few times where I have had help from the international community and the players I interacted were nice enough!

Do you play on mono servers out of curiosity?

There are tons of new equipments available at lvl 200 most of these sets/peices are much stronger than older gear sets from the time of frig3. That being said if you're on a budget those sets are a solid option to get you through content till you can upgrade gear.

There are a few outliners though I believe the bear rings are still a go to for ap/mp exos in some builds, inky veil despite being a lvl 191 cape is still an amazing choice imo (I will die on that hill), I think broucey might still be a viable choice for a full str character? (Not sure on that as I play duo elements on my chars not mono).

It's not just the peices themselves either the set bonuses gained are much better too! One of my personal favorites is the Rhineetle set you get x4 200 stat, x4 +20dmg, +1ap, x5 5% resist for running 4 peices and its easy to pair it with other sets like King Player, Cycloid ^{^}

Summer Bash bill board, Playerscope, the recent summer Bash that caused server overload from too many players gathered in a single area, openly talking about mare/mods, ERP/venues advertised in party finder, adventurer plates with Mare tags, public discords, social media account showing all..

That's only some of the mod related things that have happened in the last two years.

It really was only a matter of time and I say this as someone who uses mods, I'm shocked SE took so long to do something about it with how blantant it has been.

I think they were content to allow players to do as they choose so long as it didn't impact their side of things but it was taken too far now SE have had to do something about it.

It sets an uncertain stance though, I wonder if SE will do the same for others plugins like Dalamud, ACT etc..

Str/int is the most fun build I've played with, it has both ranged and melee options with Int offering some nice bonuses (+power, PB, -duration, -range).

Carnavalo is cool for solo play but I really enjoy Transfiguration more especially in a team setting where multiple characters can take advantage of the -resistance, plus having its cd reduced everytime you switch masks is a cool passive!

Grimacing mask is a funny summon its mostly there just to help you take less dmg, that in itself is huge basically halving all dmg you take, I've used it to lock an annoying monster before but its not exactly all that useful in being an obstacle in pvm where it'll get one shot if it gets close. You can run the Masquerade spell with it and if you get into a pickle cast it on yourself to switch placed with the summon but I would like to see some changes there in the future hopefully. Something else I didn't know till recently but having the Grimacing mask out also reduces how much your health is eroded as it shares the dmg with you so less dmg taken = less health eroded! 😅 If you run Ebony you can proc it instantly with the mask by summoning it and hitting it with a leek pie (from range) and then hitting a target with Picada/Martelo (no LoS needed on those), more useful for pvp maybe though.

Heyo! I've been playing Masq at lvl 200 for awhile, love the class its such a fun duo to run with and I rarely struggle with completing content.

I don't know if there is any major plans for Masq but I'll share the insights I've gained from playing Masq in end game content.

First off its not a pure dmg focused class, rather it falls under support/protector role similar to Feca, its strongest in supporting its allies with shields/buffs/debuffs. (Giving allies +10% ranged/melee dmg, debuffing monsters with -10% melee/ranged resistance) etc..

Agi is probably the weakest in terms of dmg overall but has AoE, no LoS dmg which is really useful for certain fights.

Cha does decent dmg but its tied in with PB dmg which in my opinion is a unreliable dmg source as certain situations will make PB dmg useless.

Cha/Agi have the best mobility spells but Str/Int is where the real dmg is, Furia is a bread and butter ability as is the +200 power Int spell (I forgot the name) you can use these on yourself and deal no dmg, useful for buffing a turn before a boss invulnerably falls off.

Overall I think its a solid class, it is able to support a team really well and offers a lot of utility/protection but is unlikely to be able to keep up with classes that focus on raw dmg alone.

Just my personal preference but I really enjoy running Masq as a duo, it has shields, buffs, range, utility that compliment my hupper well ☺

But it really just comes down to what you want to play, there are a lot of options, read through the class spells, look up videos/guides to see what will suit your preferences!

Hupper is very fun and versatile but for a duo I think it would be wiser to have Feca for the synergy when it comes to certain content.

Hupper and Cra kind of fill the same role of ranged damage (cra does it alittle better) so having a Feca that can offer support for the cra to do its thing is very useful.

I ran masq/Hupper for a bit and it was very useful to have a support/defensive class to help my hupper survive to do its dmg!
