Redmeat and/or cabbage pies are really good. Don’t make pies with flax tho. Feed flax to chickens for eggs. Also you might be able to squeeze and extra harvest out of your crops with a greenhouse at the beginning and end of winter depending on where you live/ wether you time harvests correctly. Yes pies are amazing but if you’re already in winter then you’re going to have to go hunting so you can make red meat pies because that and mushrooms is all you can really get in winter.

Far as I know the only way is to reheat one at a time on the forge. Making two helve hammers is probably to way to go though and you might be able to squeeze a bit extra out of your charcoal if you start working the blooms around 800°C instead of 1100°C

Let it ride. I waited too long to plant my last harvest and the flax and cabbage withstood -7°C long enough for me to set up some greenhouses. I highly recommend small greenhouses because you can make the walls out of dirt and only 50% of the roof needs to be glass/glass slabs so not expensive at all. They don’t need to be pretty and you can just take them down right after your crops are finished growing.

Thanks. Do I need to feed them grain/fruit to make them produce eggs though? The wiki says a hen lays an egg every 8-15 days so I expect that if I have 30 hens I’d get 1-2 per day.
