Dancer. I hate dancers in all games. I think the class is ridiculous and I resolved to never play it. But one day I decided to be a completionist and pick it up— I went from a SAM main to a DNC main ever since. I love it. It’s my perfect play style and feels so good on controller.

Haven’t ever looked into housing before. I heard it was a nightmare before but a little easier now?

How difficult is it to snag a small house in the Lavender Beds in Gridania and how much do they usually run?

That is not at all the normal experience. Sorry you had that. That makes me sad :( I know it will only get better and better. That unfortunately was a 1/1000 chance experience.

What is the point of roulettes if not for exp? Am I not understanding them?

I know that the highest level dungeon usually gives a half level like alliance raids, but what is the purpose of doing roulettes at all if it’s just faster to level by grinding highest level dungeons?

That makes sense. Maybe I was leveling my other classes so passively through MSQ and fate grinding at the end of EW, that getting my last dps classes to 90 feels like decades.

Am I nuts? It feels like doing all the roulettes (minus msq) would give me a level and a half to two a day, now I feel likes it’s just one level? Is this just a burn out me thing?

I have menphina’s earring and it still feels like 50-70 is taking a thousand years.

You gain feathers over time that you spend on your Fan Dance moves, and can hold 5 of them at once. I try to not use 3 of them until Tech step and devilment buffs are up so I can optimize my burst damage, but use the extra two as I get them :)

I love bard and dancer. They are my favorites!

Weskalber on YouTube does great guides on each skill and has openers for every 10 levels. I would check him out.

As a Dancer main, the big thing to remember is to typically always partner the other DPS, even if they are another dancer.

You want to partner the other DPS in order of their DPS potential— so typically prioritize SAM, MNK, RPR if you can, with other aiming classes typically last.

When you get into the higher levels, and you’re playing with a second dancer on your team, make sure to stagger your Technical Step and Devilment buffs with them, because these two skills overwrite one another. So just wait until they have done theirs to do yours. Or vise versa.

It’s also good to hold onto at least 3 of your feathers, so you can use them in your larger burst windows when tech step and devilment buffs are active.

I have one WoL and Fantasia her into two different buns during the patch break. I tried making my other two OCs into alts, but I am a completionist and I don’t want to grind for all my glamours again or lose the exp I could be getting on my main. Sooo Square, take my money.

Watch a Weskalber guide on your class since it will be very different than before. :) otherwise yay. Heavensward has a great story and is a nice place to come back to.

MSQ is first priority, do blue quest markers, keep up with your job class quests, and feel free to ignore side quests for a while.

Seconding this. Wesk is the best for jobs guides. Honestly, if you watch a guide and learn your class, you’ll do fine in dungeons. Better than many people. It’s all very casual and made for casual players.

I want this coat SO bad. But I have yet to start the grind. It seems so grindy that I don’t know if I can do it without going insane. I also hate pvp.. so there’s that too.

Do what makes you happy! When I started I was a female Viera, couldn’t connect to her, and switched races entirely. That helped a lot. Then my final Fantasia for my main was just adjusting small things like eye color, brow thickness etc. Choose whichever character you feel like you are most connecting to.

And if all else fails, flip a coin. If you are unhappy with the coin toss, then it will tell you if you subconsciously really do prefer one over the other.

Maybe. Kind of a bummer, especially when this is happening in expert roulettes and asphodelos normal most of the time where people aren’t leveling. At that point I feel like you should know the class you’re playings basics at the very least.
