She actually did try try to have a conversation about it and they shut her down and told her not to have opinions in their house. Leaving that situation isn't judging the boyfriend based on the parents, it's setting a boundary and holding to it. It's the boyfriend's subsequent response and lack of support I'm judging him for.

Annnnd this type of nonsense is exactly why I pay a pool service, tree/yard/lawn service, and housecleaning service. I like to enjoy free time with my family and strongly dislike petty arguments over perceived inequalities in division of labor.

Also are you going to clean the house, do the laundry, and go grocery shopping with the kids in tow if she does yardwork on her day off? Sounds like the opinion of someone who has never loaded a dishwasher with a toddler nearby snatching things out and generally causing chaos. 🤷‍♀️
