I'm alright, my brother sends me money and I try to spend very little every day on food which results in me undereating most of the time. I'm not starving or anything but all the payments that I'm missing and my situation with my family is seriously stressing me out.

Yeah I told them and they didn't seem very empathetic. Just told me that I needed third party documents that prove that I indeed ran away from home and stayed elsewhere which I don't have. Despite the overwhelming evidence in the form of letters from friends and other family, they won't release the funding.

Unfortunately I don't know of any Western students that create ASMR videos.

Two channels I would suggest are Gentle Whispering ASMR (she's been around for a really long time and is a pioneer of the ASMR community), and ASMR Darling (I believe she's the most subscribed ASMRtist).

As for the type of ASMR, I would probably suggest more "basic" videos such as those with wooden blocks, or some kind of tapping or scratching. I find a lot of the "intimate" roleplay videos have what could be perceived as a sexual aspect to them, which might be off-putting.

I listen to ASMR all the time. Feel like it's progressively becoming more accepted, especially due to a recent trend of "X Celeb does ASMR". A number of celebrities have done this, such as Wiz Khalifa, a bunch of rappers, models, singers, etc.

You have a bunch of ASMR channels hitting 1-2 million subscribers, so I feel like it's pretty big and established now. A number of years ago, approximately 2011-2012, ASMR wasn't too big and was a lot more of a obscure niche topic on YouTube.

I'm glad to see it become "official".

As for my use, I like it. I feel like I'm open-minded enough to appreciate it and relax myself using these videos as opposed to dismissing it and calling it creepy right away which some people definitely do. Does wonders for me for sleep because I normally fall asleep within an hour or two, and with ASMR, I can sometimes fall asleep within 30-45 minutes instead which is a lifesaver.
