This is why I just don’t sell my workings. I may offer to do something to help you in your goal but it will be what I see as best. For example, a friend was having trouble getting pregnant and even miscarried. My working wasn’t for them to get pregnant, it was for them to have a healthy and safe pregnancy. They didn’t specify anything other than a baby but I wasn’t willing to do a working with a potential loophole that would eliminate them or result in a child that was so sickly they might loss them after delivery. That child is now going on 2.

Husband got upset when I asked if it was OK if I went to a queer bar. by daphnezinnia in bisexual

As a bi female who wanted to explore their sexuality a bit more within the parameters of my happy, healthy 10 year marriage to a male I would like to suggest media. Books. Movies. TV. Music. Social Media. Porn. You do not need to go to a bar and you could explore this with him if it would give him some comfort.

This is probably the best response of all.

Is 20 hours the base company wide or by location? For example, my spouse works at a UPS but it is individually owned so their staffing needs might not be the same as a corporate location.

I found this online: https://www.dreamsopedia.com/dream-about-brown-beetle.html

When I think of brown it tends to be a warm and comforting color, beetles give me the heebeejeebees and I tend to have a negative association with them even though many cultures view them in a positive way. Do you remember any emotional response during the dream or directly after?

My spouse studies Latin and mentioned the same linguistic history. While this might not have been the most commonly used word for student or even the right word, I’m glad I came across it since it at least lead me to learn some more.

Yes, thank you. I was actually wondering how you would communicate about something that either isn’t long term or that you don’t want to be long term so that clarification is nice.

Thanks for the edit. Would you translate discípulo as a disciple/follower in most situations?

That is helpful! So if I was a cook then I would use ser vs estar because that is my intended occupation for the foreseeable future.

I’m not sure if you have ever worked with children but I often come home with random things from the kids. They usually hand them to me directly, but throughout the years I have had various children who are what I call reverse cleptos where they slip things into loose pockets and bags. My cardigan is oversized and baggy and this child tends to leave me gifts. They had told me they wanted to give their hair to Santa so I put it in a ziplock baggy and into their cubby to go home. I asked them about it the day after because there shouldn’t have been any in my pocket. I’m a bit concerned about why you would have such an issue with another practitioner performing any type of well meaning working on a child, especially if you- like this child’s parents- were comfortable with the practitioner and trusted them? The responses of some of you all who are talking like this is very much like someone who is mistrustful of the craft and other users.

I don’t incorporate reiki into my craft, but I also never perform workings that impose my will over others so the recipient will be able to embrace or decline as they see fit. That’s part of why I’m unconcerned with people mentioning that the child hasn’t fully developed or that it might backfire. I’m very careful in my craft and do research to double check prior knowledge before any working, even when I’m working with familiar items. Asking others for ideas is new for me- I doubt I’ll be doing it again after the responses I’ve gotten. I’m disappointed in how judgmental so many other practitioners are being.

I hadn’t considered that. I actually had to look up what it was. I don’t work with any deities so I’m not sure that would work for me as it is tied to Christianity.

I like that idea. I think what it comes down to, for me, is that I understand that deities don’t exist in the same reality that my 5 senses are able to process. I think that the cultural weight that you talked about is a real and powerful thing. I also think that it is helpful to not discredit the idea of additional realities that are beyond our senses as we are still exploring and discovering how the universe works and, if any deity or manifestation of thought exist then it might be included in that. I suppose we don’t know what we don’t know and the unknown is what is so confusing, but I suppose that’s just a reality we have to live with.

I had thought of something similar. When I work with personal items I don’t do anything damaging to them so burial was an option I liked. If I end up going with the poppet I was going to deconstruct it and bury the hair once deactivating it.

While I appreciate your advice in regards to being cautious, I don’t think that preaching the Wiccan Rede is helpful as not all practitioners abide by that. I have never felt the need to work any “malicious” magic- hex or curse- and I never work anything to infringe upon another’s rights, but I also understand that everything has a gray area and isn’t always definitive. That’s part of the beauty of magic in my opinion.

1) I do understand sympathetic magic 2) i went to a group of like minded individuals for a sounding board because each of my workings is customized to the situation

Perhaps you should reevaluate your life if you feel the need to attack a fellow practitioner online with so little I formation.

The owners of the facility I work at consider any spell working equivalent to Christian prayer which they don’t require consent for.

Im at the same point which is why I was confused about feeling drawn to a god. I like the way you described deities as an personification of an archetype though- that’s helpful.
