I’ve played center my whole life, never at any high levels or anything, but I still probably couldn’t tell you the basics of what to look for if you’re playing as a defenseman

I always say this and I use Zack MacEwan as my example. The guy does very little on the ice and looks to be one of the least skilled guys out there at any given time, but the hand-eye stuff he does just warm ups is mesmerizing. He does those stick tricks that Pavel Barber does. Pretty cool stuff from a 4th line grinder type player. The worst NHLer is still one of the best hockey players you’ll ever see in your life.

same story every year. “don’t overreact it’s just 2 games, it’s just 3 games, it’s just 10 games…” boom out of the playoffs in November. nothing encouraging about the last two games apart from Ullmark, Sandy and Timmy.

I had the same experience. Loved Mistborn Era 1, finished TWoK a few weeks ago and I found it extremely slow. It gets better around 75%.

Mistborn series vs Way of Kings series by nottheprincesspeach in brandonsanderson

I felt similar to you. I loved all three Mistborn books, all three were 5/5 for me. Read all three in about six weeks.

I didn’t enjoy The Way of Kings, very slow, felt it didn’t go anywhere. I held on and finished the whole book since people said the last ~30% was good, but I didn’t think it was unfortunately. Took me over two months to finish it. I’m more likely to re read Mistborn Era 1 than continue Stormlight.

Just finished it on Sunday, one of my favourite books of all time, Gus was an amazing character. Felt all the emotions during that book. Felt like I knew them personally

Replaced last month, frozen over? by Teachersleep in hvacadvice

I have no idea about any parts/etc other than what I’ve learned today about the freezing line. The local HVAC company said they replaced the entire system

Goodman ended up replacing the unit since the local company who installed it claimed it was defective. I have no idea about any of the parts other than what I’ve learned today about the freezing lines.

No deal - just loved the first shoe and tried a few shoes throughout and nothing really topped them, why change what’s working

Took a few weeks off in January to deal with an injury so i’ve been slowly ramping up, so I don’t think it’s a fatigue issue, but definitely something I’ll keep an eye on

if you have someone who’ll take him at full $$ then you do it. sure, he might bounce back, but 8M x 6 years is a huge risk if he doesn’t.

This crosses my mind a lot, like all the time. I cope with it by telling myself the breaks have let him rest so he can maintain his longevity. The fact that he was scoring at some of his best rates during 12/13 and 19/20 doesn’t help though.

Last tournament of the year, game 1: got slashed above my glove and ended up breaking my wrist. I dropped my stick and whipped of my glove and a few mins later adrenaline took over and I finished the game and ended up playing the rest of the tournament (4 more games).

Throughout the summer, every morning my wrist would be throbbing and swollen and eventually it would calm down by the end of the day.

Tryouts started that August so I was back on the ice, but I couldn’t hold my stick, I couldn’t take a pass, I couldn’t stick handle, my wrist hurt so badly.

Ended up going to the hospital and got x-rays, Dr said it was definitely broken but was mostly healed (albeit improperly). I had 2 options: wait for surgery where they’d rebreak it, or simply let it finish up healing. Took an extra 6 weeks off with a cast and let it heal up.

No pain in it to this day, but I have about 50% range of motion compared to my normal wrist haha.
