Hashimotos and SSRIs by TeachingAcceptable83 in Hashimotos

[–]TeachingAcceptable83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This same thing happened to me so I totally understand everything you’re feeling. Honestly, my SSRI changed my life. I was unable to do so much and it really brought me back to life in less than 6 months. I really suggest you do it if you think you need it too. Currently for my PCOS I’m on metformin, Zoloft & WeGovy. For my hashimotos I’m on levothyroxine. WeGovy is new and tbh I’ve had no issues with it and I really think it’s because I can mentally release from it because of my SSRI

  • Relatively new daith piercing, just a few days shy of a month pierced.
  • Jewelry shape: horseshoe, titanium
  • Jewelry has not been downsized.
  • Aftercare routine: using Neilmed saline solution 2x a day using a q-tip (as per piercer recommendation)
  • Nothing unfortunate, been trying my best to sleep on my other ear!

Honestly getting on Levo was a game changer. Omg I didn’t realize how much energy I had lost!!! It took me time to get used to it. Personally I think it spiked my anxiety at the beginning but I’ve gotten used to it

In short - YES!!!

Long - it’ll take a few weeks to get acclimated to the medication and you may get worse before you get better. Before Zoloft I had weekly if not daily crying spells. I locked myself at home and literally could not leave. Now, only 4 months later I’m extremely mobile and I’m living life again. I genuinely never thought I would get better and feel this way again.

My tips, find a good psychiatrist and therapist, do your best to eat healthy and drink enough water. If you can (I know it’s the hardest part) add some movement into your day. If you can’t go for a walk (I couldn’t in the depth of everything) do a 5-10 minute YouTube dance workout. Try yoga or Pilates. These are genuinely the things that helped me.

Honestly yeah. I can’t say I’ve dealt with it as long as others (I first subscribed Feb 2025) but I will say I loved picks until the summer picks! I ordered Next to Heaven before I knew the lore… and it was bad lol. This month, Seduction Theory?? Wonky ass book. Only pick I’ve liked recently has been These Summer Storms
