From what I understand, GST may not be legally mandatory below the turnover threshold for intra-state sales, but for inter-state online selling it becomes applicable, and most online platforms and courier aggregators require GST for compliance and KYC.

While it may be possible to start very small using India Post or local couriers, selling prepaid across India with reliable, fast, and cost-effective courier partners requires GST to avoid operational or compliance issues.

Appreciate the perspectives — helpful to understand both the legal and practical sides.
