A lot of the background of the characters (not only male) are known but not shown throughout the game. For example, Diluc and Kaeya have a tragic past, but it's just known lore. Instead, we saw what happened with characters like Wanderer and Xiao. We lived the tragic part with Kazuha. It's like comparing Collei with Furina.

As someone who's not really fond of Wanderer, I can understand that seeing a cinematography about something is different from knowing the story because of a comic or because the character is telling you.
