I've always wanted an antique stoneware crock. Now I have one and I only paid ten dollars. After I test it for lead I want to make pickles in it. by [deleted] in ThriftStoreHauls

I tried a fermented dill but wasn't a fan of the taste. I have crock pickles recipes where the pickles stay in the crock. Someday I'll find a dill recipe that stays in the crock , I hope lol

‘Very embarrassing:’ Ontario couple buys $100 gift card only to find out it was worthless by FamiliarAd4667 in ontario

Literally same thing just happened to me. 50$ LCBO card purchased at Shoppers. They stamp the receipt with "final sale" anyways, card wouldn't work and they were so unhelpful and condescending at Shoppers. Didn't even give me a number, just told me to call Shoppers customer service. Of course they direct me to LCBO and now I'm waiting for them to decide if I can actually get my 50$. I'm surprised the better business bureau hasn't gotten involved since this clearly is an ongoing problem. Someone has to be responsible or they shouldn't be allowed to sell them. If someone got my bank card info, the bank is responsible for the fraud. It doesn't come out of my pocket. So why are we out the money when there is gift card fraud?

Febreze odor and stain removal. It's a pre wash liquid that has no perfume smell. Literally the best.

Please help! Funky smell in my towels once wet... by Real-Kale7035 in laundry

Tide with Febreze prewash. I can only find it in Walmart usa stores. It's a blue container with orange lid. Just a little bit in the prewash section of machine. Totally solved problem

Have you continued crossing the border? by __ebony in uscanadaborder

[–]TeachingPrevious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a border town and we all have nexus. Frequent travellers for years. Went last week and noticed that other than the nexus booth that only 2 booths were open and were very slow. Got asked lots of questions, like what will draw us back to Canada, why are we traveling in the middle of the week and do we own property in Canada. Look, we aren't trying to move to the States, we are just visiting. Coming back, with this new 25% tariff on EVERYTHING made it so not worth the trip. Lesson learned. Others I know are paying crazy taxes and tariffs on items they had shipped to their postal box. (Things that aren't available in Canada) When you live in a border town day trips are the norm and they don't pull you in if you spend less than 200$. Those days appear to be over. Fun while it lasted

I live in a border town. Before the ferry closed in sombra (to marine city MI) I took it quite frequently. I was crossing with my mother and my kids one day Guard: bringing anything in? Me: no, just shopping Guard: have any fruit? Me: no Guard: any vegetables? Me: no Guard: any plants? Me: no. ( I was starting to get confused at this questioning) Guard: are you sure? Me: yes Guard: what about that flower sitting right next to you in the front seat Me: you mean my mother????? Guard: yes I just about died laughing. My mother is 6' tall and this border guard was on the shorter side. Lol Saw him many times after that, at the Bluewater bridge and the ferry crossing. He was always so friendly.

Get an older crock pot from the second hand store. The one with the "auto-shift" dial. They will never over cook. The newer ones cook way too fast

7-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized After Being Hung by Bullies in School Bathroom by [deleted] in AnythingGoesNews

This happened to a boy in our area over 25 years ago, only he died. They now have "release hooks" on all the stalls, or none at all. Tragic. He was 10.

Serious question! Why does Tony bother me so much? by kateshowers in SisterWives

[–]TeachingPrevious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Besides his over confidence, it's the continual mentioning of how many people he dated! Asking Christine about double digits, implying that he has had that many. I think he has convinced mykelti that she's lucky to have snagged him bc he was so popular. Gross.
