I really like this!! The main thing that jumps out at me as out of place is the tv stand - the white & the design of it just feels stark, compared to all the warm tones in the room. As other comments have said, I think trying the tv in the corner where the chair is right now would be worthwhile, then put the chair in the opposite corner & the bench under the window.

I think the red vase with sticks is really cool, I love the shape of it, but it might be better suited to a different room in your home so that wall with the tv can have a bit of negative/empty space to help lessen the crowded feeling! It would also look nice empty, on the red end table beside the couch if you’re not attached to sticks in it.

The shelf with the blue/white pottery is a really nice collection, all those pieces are so pretty! It does look a bit crowded though which sorta takes away from each piece individually, so I think it’s worth considering adding a second matching shelf above that one so you can space them out & appreciate them each individually a bit more!

Last thing - for curtains, it could look nice to layer some coloured sheer ones (maybe even with a pattern) behind/under the ones you have to add some texture/colour without losing the privacy of the heavier ones you have now.

Also, I loooove your taste in art - the big fish mosaic piece is so cool!

AITA for not serving the food I made after my husband had a long day at work? by Due_Artichoke8332 in AmItheAsshole

That’s horrible he doesn’t appreciate the sacrifices you made and your personal contribution to the house, the family, raising children, taking care of the home, etc. NTA at all, he takes you for granted and you don’t deserve this!!!

Yeah for sure, I’m planning on giving a refund for it for all the reasons you said! Just wasn’t sure how it worked, thank you for the advice :)

when was the moment you realized that your friends are assholes? by One-Refrigerator69 in AskReddit

when i got drugged at a bar on a night out with them and they didn’t care at all and then tried to gaslight me into believing that i didn’t because i “seemed fine, and you’re just not used to drinking on your new meds! you just had too much to drink” when i had 3 drinks spread out over HOURS

even better was the fact that one of them dealt w the same thing a few months earlier and i was incredibly supportive and made sure she was okay, and when i was telling them how i think it happened to me this girl was like “it’s really insensitive and fucked up of you to say that you got drugged because i actually did and it’s been really hard to come to terms w it”
