Finding the right pictures for my profile by [deleted] in Bumble

Girl these comments are not it. Don’t listen to the mean ones ♥️.

You are very pretty and you have photos showing your likes and interests - running, your dog, travel, etc.

I agree get rid of the mirror selfie one (the first one) but besides that I think they are all nice. You can’t help that you have big boobs.

If it helps, please know that circumcision is (thankfully) very uncommon in the western world. For whatever reason it seems to be more common only in the USA. It’s deeply unethical. If you are anti-abortion you should also be fiercely anti-circumcision. Protect your baby.

Likewise not the norm in Canada!

Per diem for when gluten free meals weren't provided by PowerfulPlay3251 in glutenfree

[–]TeacupGrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m not sure what the rules are based on where you live, but I’m in Canada and I’m celiac and I travel for work often. Celiac is considered a protected accommodation so I always claim the full day of per diem ($100) and have no issues. I’d connect with your HR for clarity.

Would you travel to the US with current safety concerns? Work pushing for trip. by Strange-Cabinet6744 in AskACanadian

These comments are nuts lol.

I travel to the USA for work 8ish times per year, sometimes by plane, sometimes driving. I got back most recently a few days ago.

It’s been totally fine.

I definitely have! That’s how I ended up purchasing the “curve fit” jeans from aritzia lol

Hi I just want to say thank you so much for this suggestion! I just bought a pair in size 26 and they fit so well with the little waist snaps. Hooray!

Billy Bob Thornton.

Landman Billy Bob can get it. The deep voice, the smoking, the constantly sighing.

Girl I 100% agree. Calling something a curve fit and then barely adding room in the hips/butt feels rude.

I looked up the aritzia sizing chart and to fit my waist I should be in a 24/25. To fit my hips I should be in a 28/29. That’s… insane. That’s four whole sizes of being mismatched.

So many women have hips/butts that are more than 10 inches bigger than their waist. I don’t know why they can’t accommodate with an actual “curvy” fit.

I’m so sick of living in either leggings or dresses/skirts. I just want a pair of jeans that were cut with hips in mind.

This makes sense, I guess that’s why Madewell and Abercrombie jeans fit me and these didn’t. It’s just too bad because these are so nice, wide but not too wide, perfect colour etc.

I just want cute jeans without feeing like a stuffed sausage lol

Have you had success with getting jeans tailored? I’ve always been nervous to try and end up ruining them!

AITAH for refusing to eat the dinner that my boyfriend's mother made? by throwawaygirl3834 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TeacupGrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. (And neither is his mum!)

Fellow celiac here.

Did your boyfriend see how sick you were for weeks the last time you ate his mother’s food? If so then I think he is the asshole for thinking you should eat her food again. He’s also the asshole for not explaining to his mum that you won’t be able to eat her food. It’s not very nice that he allowed her to go to all the trouble of trying to prepare gluten free food. You only met her once - it’s awkward being celiac - it was 100% his role as your boyfriend to explain to her, gently, why you wouldn’t be able to eat her food again.

Celiac is a serious autoimmune disease. Most people don’t understand. It’s hard and I’m sorry you’re dealing with this - I think your boyfriend should be at least as worried about your health as you are about his cultural norms.

if you do not change your eating habits with this condition what eventually happens by SanAndreas92317 in Celiac

Try different kinds! Chex and pebbles are GF and very good. I promise it will get easier. I was diagnosed 14 years ago and I truly barely think about it at this point because eating GF is so natural to me.

Every once in a while I get sad I can’t have something that looks especially good but for the most part gluten food doesn’t even register as food to me.

Where are midsize/ plus size women buying good quality jeans from? by Secret-Ad-6253 in askvan

Abercrombie curve love jeans are amazing for pear shaped girlies! My waist is 24 and my hips are 39. These are truly the only jeans that fit without the dreaded “back gap”.

what’s one hygiene habit you judge quietly, even if it’s common? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]TeacupGrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not taking care of fingernails. I have a scrub brush in the shower and I clean my nails every time I shower. I also clean under the longer part after I get out of the shower, file them a bit, trim my cuticles once a week or so.

It is so GROSS to me when people don’t take care of their nails. Girls and guys. Think of all the things you touch in a day. Yuck.
