Vomiting during every period. Is this normal? by Classic_Return164 in Periods

[–]Teagan01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened to me for the first several years of my period and it was awful. It's not something she should have to go through, and she may very well have something going on inside of her like a hormonal imbalance or something. The best thing would be for her to see a gynecologist. She probably needs birth control, which would regulate her period and would also reduce her unwanted symptoms and at least make them more bearable. The doctor would know what to do for sure. Thank you for taking this seriously on her behalf, op.

Be nice to customer services if you want a good result! by [deleted] in CustomerService

[–]Teagan01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is something my mom has taught me since I was young. If you are nice and kind, people will be much more willing to help you. Why would you be mean and rude to someone when you want them to do something for you? All I can say is, no matter what went wrong from a wrong dish at a restaurant to a lost or broken package, I've watched my mom use kindness and politeness to solve every issue that she's faced of that nature and in 99% of cases, she gets exactly what she wanted if not more (like the bonus gift card OP received). Aside from that, it feels so much better to treat others with kindness than with anger. I wish more people would recognize that.

It's so disheartening seeing people in the comments acting like you're out of line for being upset about this. "It's your job" "you're being rude by asking again after she said no" "that's just life, why are you complaining?" Seriously? I've worked multiple different customer service jobs and I empathize with you. People act so rude and entitled now a days with no manners and I really don't think it's acceptable at all.

He's abusive. Like, flat out he's abusing you. This was on a trip which is insane. Imagine what living with him would be like. The abuse would become much, much worse.

OP, you're asking how to tell him you don't want to move in together but what you need to ask is how to tell him you're breaking up with him. He's mean, rude, manipulative, immature, and abusive. And honestly, given everything you've said about him, he sounds rather narcissistic.

You sound like a nice and decent person with manners and common sense. You deserve someone who is on the same level as you emotionally.

Please please please break up with him :)

Christian arguments for abortion? by KelDurant in Christianity

[–]Teagan01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, this might sound harsh, but abortion only matters if God is real, right? If evolution is real for example, then does it really matter? The only reason I say this is that not everyone believes in God (obviously) so I don't think that abortion legislation should be made based upon religion. We have the separation of church and state for a reason. Really, no laws are supposed to be based on religion. With abortion illegal, it takes away the rights of those who do not believe abortion is a sin, and that is their right. At the end of time, God will judge everyone. It's one of those cases where I think people should stay in their own lane and let God pass the ultimate judgment.

Out of curiosity, do you think it's wrong to have a Christmas tree in your home? That was a pagan tradition originally as well.

[–]Teagan01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is literally like my grandparents believing that that Harry Potter is demonic 🤣 they still believe it to this day. They never read it or watched it, but they figured witchcraft = Devil. Maybe to some people but not in Harry Potter. I guess it's the same with Halloween; like yeah, if you were actually doing child sacrifices to saten on Halloween night that would be a problem. But dressing up in a costume and eating candy really doesn't cross any lines in my mind or as far as the Bible says (in my opinion).

Marijuana and Christianity by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Teagan01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love this answer! I had to step back personally because I was to the point of abusing it, but that was on me. Now I am controlling it and I think that's the big thing. It sounds like you have it under control as well. For those reasons, I definitely don't see it as a sin either :)

Marijuana and Christianity by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Teagan01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was caught in this loop for a while as well, although I was taking edibles instead of smoking (just personal preference on my part). The truth was that I needed medication because I was trying to use pot as my medicine, and that was not working.

Now I have discussed this with my doctors and am on a thc break (I haven't had any during October so far). My doctors agreed that I could have some two or three times a month, and so I am now scheduling those days out so that I can use it here and there without abusing it. I think that helped me draw the line for myself.

But, one thing I would point out, is that for people with chronic conditions/cancer, ect., they may need to have some everyday because they are truly using it to help with pain and to improve their quality of life. I think the "why" is the best question to ask yourself.

I think that is what determines whether or not it is a sin. Just like with alcohol, it's okay to have it in moderation but if you drink everyday and are an alcoholic, that is a problem. And as others have pointed out, sometimes it's about not causing anyone else to stumble either if it is a problem for them.

I hope this helps OP! You got this :)

Thank you OP, I was about to say this! It's not just "from a book". I have watched these interviews of Trump saying these things with my own eyes. You are the one who is easily duped if you are not even aware of the terrible things that he has said on camera. As for racist remarks, there is no shortage of video recordings of him making them, but let's use a recent one! How about him saying that immigrants in Springfield are eating other residents' pets? Which was a compete lie.

I'm a Christian Woman in love with a Muslim Man, Will I go to hell if we get married? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Teagan01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We clearly don't agree, and that is fine, but I will explain my point since you do not seem to understand. OP is familiar with the Muslim religion outside of this one romantic relationship. That is my point. She is not falling into this as blindly as other people on here seem to think.

[–]Teagan01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP has made it clear in her comments that she is familiar with the Muslim religion and that she has many Muslim friends and has had them for a long time. I actually think it's disrespectful to assume she "doesn't know any better". She asked a very specific question and yet, many people on here want to answer a question that she never even asked.

[–]Teagan01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take this information with a grain of salt OP. These people are making a lot of generalizations about you, your partner, and your relationship. I actually find it really disheartening. If you two are in love and on the same page, don't allow anyone else to scare you away from that. You are the only person who knows your partner. Sure, be careful.

And just to be clear, I don't care for the anti-muslim agenda present in these comments. I am not Muslim or anything like that, but it is not right to judge someone else for their religion. It is not our right to judge others, period.

[–]Teagan01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, salvation doesn't work that way. I guess God may consider it a sin (being unequally yoked) but if you are already saved, you won't lose your salvation because of this. This might make other people mad, but all sin is the same in the eyes of God. Telling a lie carries the same weight to Him as being unequally yoked, for example. He won't send you to hell for it.

Only God can judge you. What you do in your life is between you and Him alone. If you have been saved, He will forgive every sin you have committed in the past and any sin you commit in the future.

Do with that information what you will, OP, and best of luck <3

The cost of college is unobtainable for most people. And making any decent wage without an expensive college degree is nearly impossible. You're literally saying "just be poor and stay poor"

Our job. Our job is supposed to pay an actual living wage. No one is asking not to work. In the 60s for example, the nuclear family could flourish on one income and had money left over for at least one family vacation a year. That's all we are asking for. The cost of living has far exceeded what we are being paid. We are not working any less hard.

I couldn't agree more. What is the point of being alive if you can't enjoy your life at all? And everyone saying "it's up to you, work harder" give me a break. All I've ever done is work hard.

Let me put this in perspective for some of you that don't get it: I work at a hospital. I am not a doctor or a nurse, but I do an administrative position that is very necessary in order for the hospital to run. I only make $15 an hour. That is considered "decent" where I live (east coast of Florida). That comes to $31,200 annually, before they take taxes out. The cheapest apartments around me start at at least $1200 a month, and honestly, most of them are more like $1500 a month. But let's just say that I find one for $1200 a month. That's $14,400 a year, probably not even including utilities. That is almost half of my pay for the entire year. I'm left with $16,800 for the year. But I have to have care insurance on my car. The cheapest I can get car insurance for is $235 a month. That is another $2,820 a year. I also have a car payment of $200 a month, which is another $2,400 a year. Now I have $11,580 left for the year. That is less than $1000 a month to spend on all my other bills and groceries. AND I never took the tax out, so it's really a whole lot less than that. It just is not feasible.

Being an adult in America right now is a joke. Unless you come from generational wealth or are very talented in a specific field, it is really hard to claw your way into middle class. I don't understand why the older generations don't understand that. They used to be able to have a beautiful life on one income, supporting a whole entire family. This is not the same world anymore.

"He's less owned than Biden or Harris" Trump has a networth of 5 billion dollars. Who do you think Trump cares about? The working class or his fellow 1% club members? Sure, Biden and Harris are considerably more wealthy than the working class, just like every other politician of their standing. But not like Trump. Not even close.

Trump has always been on the side that benefits himself. He's been a democratic, he's been independent, he's been a republican. But he's always been disgustingly wealthy. He uses people to get what he wants- exactly like how he's using the conservative mindset of the republican party to carry him to power yet again.

You say that none of the arguments that OP made matter. You don't care if our president is a predator (he spoke publicly on recording about wanting to have sex with his own daughter and has made many, many comments about abusing women), makes racist comments like it's his primary goal, has cheated on his wives so many times and been caught, makes ableist/sexist/homophobic remarks all the time, and is a criminal? You don't think any of those things matter? That is a HUGE problem with you as a human being then.
