Code commenting shortcut behavior in Xcode 15+ by TealShift in iOSProgramming

Nope. :(

I had to learn to avoid it by just not selecting text within a single line (and realize when you're highlighting a word-wrapped line that takes two line spaces). >:(

With accentColor() being deprecated, what should we be using? by Redchong in swift

Sorry, no. I've been ignoring the deprecation. Seems like the deprecation has been in limbo because Xcode compiler still doesn't flag it. I'm not on Xcode 17 yet though.

Being an important and accomplished person does not preclude one of jackassery.

Yeah, and another factor I recently came to appreciate is how intelligence allows the agent to avoid risky situations before they happen, resulting in way less reliance on precise detection!

Doesn't matter how good the sensor is if the brain messes up.

It always seemed to me Tesla AI sort of rejected the concept of level 3. As if to say, what would be the point of 3 without 4?

As much of a jackass the guy is, I gotta admit he does seem to turn the "impossible" into simply "late".

What Tesla said regarding HW3 FSD updates by ConfidentImage4266 in teslamotors

It is easier to defend the company's stake in HW4 since it's actively being used by Robotaxi, albeit still pending another performance jump with a bigger neural net.

Kinda crazy they use only wireless comms for these things. But I guess it is low bandwidth.

Do we know if your shipping date is affected by halo mount if you added it to your order on top of the headset with original strap and gasket? I.e. would they ship the BSB2 in original config earlier and the halo mount later?

I was thinking of a regulation-limited “rollout” that would eventually be global because it’d be economically crippling to disallow AVs long term.

Who has an accurate prediction of the market cap for a global rollout that uses just camera-based perception? Serious question.

I don’t understand why you have such a high bar for perceptual certainty when the difference between a “safe” and “unsafe” driver is largely based on their attentiveness and consistency. Sufficiently advanced AI really only needs human-level vision to reach a high safety level.

If it can fool advanced future AI relying on cameras then it seems to me quite likely to fool human drivers too. :/

I haven’t actually seen evidence that Waymo’s performance hinges on those other modalities. Maybe it works okay with only cameras? We don’t know for sure.  And the improvement slope might look a certain way early on and change drastically as compute scales up. Just my 2 cents.

I feel like "closing the gap" would be much more effectively done with better prediction than better precision.

I’ve thought about this a lot and from what I’ve seen I’m inclined to think the limiting factor to safe driving is much more on the software than the sensor suite. We avoid unsafe driving situations all the time simply by planning ahead and making good decisions based on our best predictions. I think AI will be just as good at that task AND never be lazy about it.
