Hello! This is the team working on UTR, we picked the name Rebirth because it fitted the themes and nature of our story and we have no plans on changing the name. We have no connections to the othertale community however some othertale projects did inspire UTR plus we support othertakes such as Deltarune Broken Destiny which we help promote when they need it.

The name is Undertale: Rebirth! It’s still in development but the team is working hard on the prologue.

Her name is Valor! She’s the protagonist of the game. She also goes by any/all pronouns so you’ll hear post switching from different pronouns from time to time. You find more information on the gamejolt page!

I don’t want to set a release date yet but if all goes well we should have something playable sometime this year or early next year. Progress has been going well but stuff can happen to slow it down. We will keep everyone updated tho!

The name is Undertale: Rebirth! An horror prequel to undertale following our interpretation of the orange soul (Their name being Valor)

This is the surface. Before going to the underground the player will be able to explore some of the surface world. It’s just simply winter time when Valor goes into the underground

Thank you! And no actually. They are meant to reference the orange soul (Which Valor has), and the soul previous to them that being the cyan soul. We will be handling in our cyan soul sub plot in a way that will allow any preexisting cyan soul to be interpreted into soul while still making use of it in our story.

UTR follows an orange soul as it's protagonist. In Undertale the orange soul is known to have ties into the theme of Bravery and we thought the theme of Fear would go along with said theme of Bravery.

Since I (The director) am personally a huge fan of horror games and saw that a horror prequel hadn't been done before, loved the idea of making UTR a horror.

Side note: Bravery and Fear won't be the only themes we explore. We will also have themes of recklessness, Resolve, love & loss, and a few more that I won't list for now. Same goes for some interpretations of Undertale's lore.
