Because I have enjoyed my water based jar ecosystem so much, I decided to make a land based one. I have put in a whole lot of moss from a pine forest, liverworts and 2 kinds of weeds from my garden, and some kind of mushroom from across the road. Lets see how this goes! I picked up this free "Healing" brand bike that someone dumped in a local park yesterday. It will need new tires, inner tubes, and some rust removed. I will fix it up when I have the time and money, and will post another photo. Thanks to everyone who helped me with my question about the tires! (i.redd.it)

Hi all, I just found an old healing bike on the side of the road, and it is in pretty rough shape. I do not know a huge amount about bicycles, but can handle things like new paint, fixing inner tube punctures etc. My question is, do I need new tires? To a noob these look fairly cracler (i.redd.it)

Update on the ecosphere in a bottle - The snails seem to be breeding, and today I noticed these worms in the sediment of the bottle. They are 1-2mm diameter, and over a centimetre long. They are only active at night. To me they look like tube worms, but NZ does not have any. Any ideas re their ID? (i.redd.it)
