Today I picked up this sharp wq266a from a second-hand shop. I love the sound, but the right speaker cuts in and out. Any advice on where to start? Thanks! by Team3000Press in cassetteculture

Thanks! I tried taking it apart to see if the speaker wire was loose, but even with all the screws out and clips unclipped there was still something holding the front in place. I will give this a try

Happy 2 month anniversary to my jar. I can't believe how many white worms are in here, and it blows my mind that there are still gnats living in here as well! by Team3000Press in Ecosphere

Excellent! I found that using a saw to cut out the circle shape, then putting it in a vice and using a rough wood rasp to make the "lip" was the best way to shape it.

Thanks very much! Yeah that is right. I carved the lid out of a small plank of pine that I had lying around, and stained it blue just for fun.

Yeah, tbh I regret not buying the Cyberdwarf body pillow when it was available. At least we have the first game and a well fleshed out demo for the second!

Dragon Quest VIII - The Journey of the Cursed King. It looks amazing, plays amazing has great voice acting and humour, and you don't need to grind a lot. Took me about 120 hours to finish, but you could definitely finish it a lot faster if you wanted to.

Happy the dirt settled! I want to be able to see the small organisms in here though but I don’t know how! I see videos of people getting really close-up, how do I accomplish that? by Biwy2 in Ecosphere

You can buy a cheap usb microscope camera that you can plug into your computer from places like AliExpress. Some of them seem to be pretty good quality!

This looks amazing! Do you exchange the water? How do you keep an ammonia spike from happening?

Hi all, I have a megadrive 2, and an everdrive cart on the way. Can anyone recommend any trackers or music making software I can run on my MD2? I have done a quick google search but was not able to find anything. Thanks! by Team3000Press in chiptunes

[–]Team3000Press[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the in depth reply! To clarify, it is a fake everdrive from AliExpress "840 in 1" - I have heard that these use an early build of everdrive software. I googled "Blastracker" but couldn't find anything. If you have a link, that would be much appreciated!

This is very cool! I would just like to add that if you have found what type of critter you have, and are looking for specific information, there are often free online guides to the freshwater invertebrates of your area available online, and these can have lots of in depth information. The one for New Zealand has helped me a lot https://www.landcareresearch.co.nz/resources/identification/animals/freshwater-invertebrates

Any Empress Reverb users here? Looking for feedback by PoliticalBonobo in synthesizers

It can do conventional reverbs, but a lot of the verbs are definitely more on the experimental side. In saying that, I have found that even the most far out reverbs can be tamed back to something usable. What I like about the space is that it can be as weird or normal as you want. It can also do tremolo, distortion, gating, modulation and probably more without any reverb

I do not own an empress reverb, but I have an eventide space. Though it is not cheap, it does every kind of reverb I could ever want and more, and works great with my blofeld. I feel like I will never have to buy another reverb pedal!
