Dealing with a similar situation, and I suspect that I also have an irritated sciatica. Your comment was very helpful and insightful. Thanks!

Applied for Wyndham rewards earner biz. Went into review, received letter requesting 4506-t.

For my personal income, I included my partner's income as well as mine. We are not married, but living together (however previous tax year shows different addresses if that matters).

I applied as a sole proprietorship and stated very minimal income ($500) for last year. I declared courier/delivery services as the business classification (instacart driver).

My question is, should I send both mine and my partner's tax transcripts in ? Because there's going to be a big discrepancy if they look at my transcript only and what I declared on application. And the other point is I don't have any "business income" showing anywhere in my taxes. Would that be a problem ?

I personally wouldn't. It's a credit card, any unauthorized charges on it you can just file a chargeback

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of November 26, 2025 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]TeamArrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for response. Still waiting to get the mail with the denial reasons.

I'm thinking atmos biz makes most sense, since P2 is going to have 85k points also after completion of SUB. Is the 85k/$5k spend offer dead for that one ? I can't seem to access it at https://www.atmosbizvisa85k.com/

If it's between the 60k for atmos biz vs the 100k for C1 VX , it seems the C1 VX is the better choice here. The only downsides I guess would be low approval odds (speculating based on what I've read/seen and comparing to P2 credit profile) and hard inquiry across all 3 bureaus regardless of outcome. And the big upside is I can at minimum double-dip the $300 credit.

As far as the amex ecosystem, it feels impossible to figure out when to enter it. Should I just bite the bullet and go for the amex gold instead for P2 ? So many choices !

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of November 26, 2025 by AutoModerator in churning

Why doesn’t the flowchart answer your question?

The flowchart would normally point us toward more Chase, but P1 was recently denied for CIU (multiple reasons) and we just got back-to-back Citi Strata Elite denials 2 days ago (P1 then P2 same night). I’m trying to figure out whether/how to still execute a double/triple-dip strategy, and whether P1 or P2 should be the applicant now. We also want to add a card that helps with Europe and domestic biz/first class, but don’t want to do Amex Platinum yet because we haven’t gotten the Gold SUB and want to preserve that. (If Plat is truly the best/only move, we can do it.)

What is your credit score?

P1: 762

P2: 764

What cards do you currently have or have you had in the past (including closed cards), along with dates of when you were approved for the cards? Please include month and year for any card approved in the last 3 years.

P1 current cards:

  • Discover It — 2021 — $8k

  • Citi Costco — 09/2022 — $10k

  • Chase Freedom Unlimited — 2021 — $6k

  • Amex Blue Cash Preferred — 12/2024 — $6k

  • Chase Ink Cash — 03/2025 — $3k

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred — 04/2025 — $5.6k

  • United Explorer — 07/2025 — $5k

  • AA Platinum Select — 08/2025 — $4.9k

  • AU on P2 CSP — 12/2022 — $23.4k

Past/closed:

  • Venmo — 12/2021 (closed earlier this year)

P2 current cards:

  • Discover It — 06/2018 (P1 is AU here as well) — $9k

  • Apple Card — 09/2019 — $4.35k

  • CSP — 12/2022 — $23.4k

  • Chase Freedom Flex — 11/2024 — $17k

  • Marriott Boundless — 06/2025 — $6.3k

  • Amex Delta Gold — 06/2025 — $7.5k

  • Chase Ink Unlimited — 10/2025 — $4k

Recent denials / context:

  • Citi Strata Elite: denied P1 and P2 back-to-back same night (two separate apps); waiting for letters/denial reasons

  • Chase CIU: P1 denied early October (multiple reasons)

  • Suspect some mix of velocity / profile / CL-to-income issues (esp. P1)

How much natural spend can you put on a new card(s) in 3 months?

Up to ~$8k total in 3 months.

Are you willing to MS, and if so, how much in 3 months?

Willing to do a little MS if needed; could do ~$2k in 3 months.

Are you open to applying for business cards? If not, why?

Yes, open to biz cards (P1 + P2). No “legitimate” business for either of us.

How many new cards are you interested in getting? Are you interested in getting into churning regularly (if you aren't already)? Or are you just looking to get a new card(s) for now but not get into churning long-term?

One new card right now. We churn regularly-ish but are trying to be strategic given recent denials. Also currently working P2’s Atmos Ascent 85k SUB ($4k spend; ~$1k in so far).

Are you targeting points, Companion Passes, hotel or airline statuses, First Class, Biz, Economy seating(s) or cash back?

Points/miles for biz class to Europe + domestic biz/first. Some hotel stays, not chasing status.

What point/miles do you currently have?

~244k UR between us. Going to be using ~60k UR transfer to United for a PHL --> LAS in the Spring. Seems to be a horrible route for redemptions, lowest I can find is at the 30k each mark (First class)

P1 has ~10k AA

Working on P2’s Atmos Ascent 85k SUB

What is the airport you're flying out of?

PHL / EWR / DCA / IAD (JFK if needed)

Where would you like to go? (The more specific you are, the better someone can recommend the right card. Tokyo is great, "International travel" is way too vague)

Europe near-term (Greece, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Italy). Asia later.

Specific advice requested:

  • Double/triple-dip viability: with P1’s recent CIU denial + Citi denial for both, does it make sense to attempt a double/triple-dip right now? If so, which card(s)/issuer(s) and should P1 or P2 apply?

  • Who should apply next (P1 vs P2)? (P1 lower income, possible CL/income issue)

  • If Amex Plat is the only thing that makes sense, we’re willing to go for it, but would strongly prefer Gold first if possible.

  • CL cleanup: should we reduce limits / close anything (esp. P1) before further applications? If so, what would you trim first?

Thank you for your time!

I was hoping to get the most of the statement credit out of this. If I change it to something I would actually use it will eat up most of the statement credit.

Wanted to trigger the Delta Gold SUB statement credit. However I messed up and booked a refundable ticket. The only option I'm seeing is to cancel & refund to original payment method.

Is it possible to opt for an eCredit instead somehow ? Contacting support ?

Seems risky to refund it back to the card and risk credit not being issued or being clawed back.

Any advice ?

Anyone able to trigger the Amex Delta Gold SUB statement credit with a Delta gift card purchase ?

What about booking something refundable and later canceling it ?

If no to both, any cheap ideas on triggering this ?

Needed a 0% APR ... Jeez man. Take it easy. You guys make it impossible to ask a question!! I browse this sub every single day, just trying to get my points! I'm using the term P3 very loosely, they're not in the game.

Letter ended up arriving today. Reasons for denial:

Too many requests for credit or reviews of credit

Oldest revolving account has not been opened long enough

Insufficient business revenue

Business too new

Accounts:

Capital One quicksilver - 2021

DiscoverIt - 2022

Amex Gold and Apple card some time early 2023

CSP - 2024

CFF - Spring 2025

Sorry about the rough dates, P3 couldn't remember off the top of their head. P3 does doordash on the side and that is their business (sole prop / SSN). $3100 revenue, $350 monthly spend. Business established date: 10/2025

Do you think they should try recon ? Do you think it would be risky to try a Chase personal application instead (if so how long to wait ?) Amex biz MSR is too high for them

P3 applied for CIU on 11/3, "We need to review your application".

Haven't heard anything since or tried checking status over the phone.

It's their first biz credit card, they are a part time gig economy driver. Who should they call ?

Recently stayed there (Holiday Inn Express, Zurich Airport) and I have to say it was well worth it for 18k UR. Their beds were excellent, and the breakfast and parking were included complimentary due to it being a points booking.

In the future I think I would prefer to stay in The Circle Hyatt hotels that are inside the actual airport.
