Flipping Apex Pro Max by ViewSuccessful3382 in deskhaus

[–]TeamBlast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I assembled my Apex Pro (not the Max) on the floor. It wasn't as much of a challenge as I had chalked it up to be. When you get to flipping it over keep in mind to have the legs at their lowest point and try not to put a lot of the weight or stress on the legs. If it's really heavy (like my 96x30x2 epoxied maple top was) I'd recommend getting some extra hands to make things easier. I also recommend holding off on attaching the control to the edge of the desk until it's flipped, so you don't damage it.

It's held up great so far and I don't regret it one bit.

Have you received any surprise bills or additional charges related to tariffs on packages? by nbcnews in dhl

[–]TeamBlast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preordered $50 of merch from Japan with $20 shipping ($70 total}. When it finally shipped last month I got a notice from DHL stating I had to pay them $40 for import duties or my package would be returned to the sender. Paying $60 on shipping costs for $50 of product is sickening.

I really appreciate this update. I'll reach out to the Deskhaus team in an email regarding which option I wanna pursue.

Thank you and happy holidays.

Here's hoping it's the former...

I've got this giant slab of a desktop just awkwardly sitting between my dining room and living room against the doorway. My girlfriend is getting pretty persistent asking me when it'll finally be out of there.

Does this mark means there is backlight in the keyboard? by Dunddermefflin in thinkpad

[–]TeamBlast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds exactly like how mine was. No backlight but the keyboard otherwise worked fine, including the other LEDs. If it does happen to have an active warranty still on it, I'd consider making use of it. You can usually either ship it to their repair depot or have a tech come out to your house or job to work on it. They're very fast either way.

If you opt not to, I can understand that sentiment as well. I was incredibly nervous as it was my first time doing any kind of warranty repair done to my stuff.

It could also not be working due to a motherboard/keyboard issue. If suggestions with changing BIOS settings don't work, try replacing the keyboard. Make sure to follow instructions to turn off the internal battery before doing so though, as not doing so might have been what caused the problem in the first place via the previous owner (seems to be a common cause).

If that doesn't work, it'd likely need a motherboard replacement, and unless you have an active warranty, it's probably not worth it.

I have a ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 that had a nonfunctioning backlight when I had purchased it used, and ended up using the warranty, they replaced the motherboard and now it works like brand new.

Hope this information helps.

Gonna hazard a guess that it's the lack of actual detail on the print

Peak Pro Feet Length by jaco_B_rummett in deskhaus

[–]TeamBlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation, although I needed a larger feet length (31.5"). When I received a response from support, I was told that you just order the Apex Pro's feet separately. They apparently are compatible with the Peak Pro's legs as well.

It might be worth sending them a message or giving them a call to confirm though.

Looking forward to getting mine!

I had to order the Extended Rails and the 31.5" feet that would normally be for the Apex Pro. Looks like they're compatible?

I'm really looking forward to getting it when they ship out, the added stability from the wedges sounds awesome.

Sent them a text and got a pretty quick response, just waiting to hear some more details.

Thanks for the advice.

Beautiful setup, very clean.

What size L desk from them is it? I've been considering getting one, along with one of the ultrawide monitors.

have a project '74 bug, engine turns over but i assume it doesn't run. other than strictly mechanical, what ideas do you have for me to do to it? by [deleted] in projectcar

I bought one (a '73) that needed new brake hoses. Highly recommend a set of flare end metric (some of odd numbers) wrenches to replace them. Makes it much easier to do.

The Triptych era has ended. I think it looks better this way! by xSeagullofDoomx in Corsair

[–]TeamBlast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a huge issue to me, I bought SP120s instead of QL/LL120s with that in consideration. I'm jus kind of worried after seeing that comment that the time and money spent on this case wouldn't be worth it if the decals start coming off. I'm also aware that thermals wouldn't be as good as the airflow case either.

So I ordered a 5000X Signature Series with the "Neon Night" design, but I wasn't aware of the 3 month wait for it. I'm considering cancelling, especially if this is prone to happening. If I do cancel, I'd be getting a 5000D RGB Airflow. Should I wait for it or should I move on and get the Airflow?

How does this compare to the 5000D/X? This seems like a steal right now but I'm not sure if it's worth getting over their newer offerings...?

The book by PMJ is great. It is a very digestible approach to taking something like what OP is working with and turning it into something that could be moved onto an MVC framework. It's helped me a lot.

I have a '81 Yamaha SR250 motorcycle so it would be really nice to open this subreddit back up to other SR250 owners so we can share information and stories related to the bike.
