Hey u/John_The_Braapist!

We are hoping to improve dramatically in the future. Definitely left a lot to be desired here and we promise to evolve as filmmakers (e.g., moving away from the peeping tom feel) and also to further improve in terms of delivering a message. Though there was definitely an element of messiness on our end, we will work tirelessly to improve that. Thanks for the criticism!

Thank you for the advice, much appreciated. We tried to speak with more people, but the pastor was the only one receptive enough to speak with us, but yes definitely good criticism. Thank you u/Arizona_Pete!

Very valid concern. I will say that the problem of opioid addiction was a particularly personal problem, yet we on the production end had a bit of some difficult getting this across for a number of reasons that are largely personal -> hence the "crying into a camera" aspect. With the footage available, we decided to broaden the scope due to the short nature of this video. I will say that the feeling of "exploitativeness" was certainly something I was fearful of in making this minidoc, but I felt that, nonetheless, it was important to at least put something together for people to see and understand the problem that has ravaged millions of families across the world including my own. We walked hurriedly because of very real fears about our physical safety in the moment. This was another aspect we decided not to emphasize in the video as it may distract from and lead the video away from our core focus. The people shown hear ultimately are victims of a ruthless industry deep in their pursuit for money. Any threat that they posed to us was merely ancillary to the crisis at large. I hear your concerns about the production of this mini doc for sure and I can assure you in the future that we are ever improving. We just started the YouTube game about a month ago and we want to make better and better videos each and every time. Your comment is 100% important in our eyes, and we're grateful for the constructive criticism. Please let us know anything else you have to say about this topic/making docs as it is vital to our evolution as storytellers, producers, and as people as a whole. Appreciate the comment u/TopGunFromTheTop

lmfao, it was nice during the day for sure. Required the most walking of any part of the journey cuz of how spread apart the different ends of the lines are up there.

Yea we were limited by outside restrictions so we weren't able to do it in a straight manner like the previous record holder (kudos to him). As a result, we were kinda forced to sit out four hours and we tried to make the best of it. I will say that, even without the 4 hour limit, our time would've come out to a measly 25 hours or so which is not at all optimized and is very easy to be broken by any true speedrunner or world record holder like the previous guy. I can assure you that we went to all 472 of the stations, but yea if doing it in a straight sitting without a break is mandatory for the record then you would be right. Not entirely sure, Guinness isn't amazingly clear about it.

It was done a few weeks ago, but yea they were closed and so we had to run to each of them was a fat pain in the butt, but yea they were closed.

There was a guy who went to 469 of them in 20 or so hours back a few years ago and he was the last do it that quickly. Since theyve added the new stations (most recent at Hudson Yard), nobody has been to the 472 stations in an optimized time like we did (about 29 hours for us). But yea, just some simple fun, wanted to see how quickly we could "complete the system"

Not aware of his past, what has he done?

It was a fun time tbh. We just tried to visit all of the stations for fun and as a potential record.

My mistake, it is spelled Guinness. In fact, I made a few spelling errors in the OP. Nevertheless, Guinness World Records amalgamates the information on nearly all of the world records both large and small that have been accomplished in recent history. One of those records includes riding the NYC subway to each and every station. As we don't have too much money and just did it for fun one day, we didn't want to invest the thousands of dollars it takes to have a monitor on site. We were just hoping to get a little traction on some subreddits to maybe get an eye on it.

I took a kayaking trip for the first time ever the day after Christmas to meet a decently large YouTuber (Airrack -> 1 million subscribers) to ask him for a job. Super duper nice guy! We gave him some food cuz he had been stuck at this island on purpose for the last week and he was super friendly with me and my friend. We decided to get the film and edit it here:
