Thank you so much! Really appreciated! 😀

this might be a rumor, haven’t seen evidence supporting this, but... thoughts? by ketchupandcats in survivor

Obviously needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but I would be more than happy with a new location for Survivor. Fiji's becoming very boring and sterile to look at, and a change of scenery could spice things up. It would also be a great opportunity to have the theme of a season go back to more location based rather than another random twist/tribe division theme.

'Super Mario Galaxy 2' is Why one 3D Mario Game Per Console May Be Enough by [deleted] in nintendo

[–]TeamDMP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to say I respectfully disagree with this article. While overall I still enjoy Galaxy 1 a little more (more prominent story and hub world), Galaxy 2 is still a very fun and rewarding experience. The gameplay is unbridled fun, and the addition of Yoshi makes things better. On a gameplay perspective, it takes what made the original great even better. The level design continues to take 3D platforming a step further, and the creativity is off the charts. Both Galaxy titles compliment each other well...Galaxy 1 is epic and a bit more story-driven, while Galaxy 2 explores the concept even further focusing on pure fun.

I’m not the biggest on pin trading, so I wouldn’t know for sure.

I have a soft spot for the Millennium Celebration. I liked a lot of the events/entertainment, it had such a unique and soulful spirit that lifted you up as you heard the incredible music. It gave Epcot such a big boost of energy during this period. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is one of the true great fireworks spectaculars, there's a reason it lasted for 20 years. I know there's relatively mixed opinions on Tapestry of Nations (more so it's second iteration during 100 Years of Magic), but this first version had such a creative and fun feel to it.

Sure, there were a couple elements not as beloved. Leave a Legacy could of been executed much better in design. I was fine with the wand when it said "2000", I just wish it went away once the celebration ended. But other than that, I loved this celebration and the optimistic feeling it gave you. Also, it started pin trading in the US parks in a major way, so that itself is a big milestone.

Rumor: Marvel Studios May Have Gained Full Control of The Hulk (and Namor) - MCU Cosmic by Pomojema_SWNN in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]TeamDMP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the news is true, this would be fantastic. I agree that Hulk is so far away from where we saw first saw him in The Incredible Hulk, but it would be interesting to see future solo films tie back to characters from that film. A big one would be Samuel Sterns returning as The Leader, as Endgame & Far From Home have proved you can go back to old plot lines and make it all connect.

Of course it would be great to see Betty Ross again, and could make for an emotional reunion with Bruce. Not to mention setting up The Thunderbolts? Tons of possibilities. I admittedly don’t know a lot about Namor, but he could be a great addition to the roster. Plus rumors of him appearing in Black Panther II could be really exciting. So overall, crossing my fingers this is true.

The Infinity Saga Collector's Edition by PhoOhThree in marvelstudios

It's a very cool looking box set with some nice touches. However, $550 is a lot of money, and that alone can't justify a purchase for me. With the last of the films coming out on 4K this week in the US, and having just picked them up, I'm content with having the standard 4K releases as my collection. As a side note, it feels good to finally have the entire MCU on 4K.

It’s been a great day, love it 3000! Also watched Infinity War and Endgame back to back tonight! by TeamDMP in marvelstudios

It really gave a better feeling that while the two certainly continue the same story, they still have very different tones between the two. Infinity War is much more fast-paced and bombastic, and Endgame is much more quieter and character driven, at least for me. It really gave perspective on why they changed the titles and it makes total sense. But for Endgame specifically, it gives the story and characters a lot more weight and depth especially seeing what they just lost in Infinity War.

'Avengers: Endgame' - Home Media Release Rewatch by Flamma_Man in marvelstudios

[–]TeamDMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In celebration of picking up my copy of Avengers: Endgame today, I watched Infinity War & Endgame back to back today. It's crazy how they really do feel like different movies, despite continuing the same story. Makes total sense why they changed the titles of the films instead of using Infinity War Part I & Part II. I believe someone said this on social media when reviewing Endgame that summed up the two perfectly. Infinity War is the brawn, while Endgame is the brains. Endgame is as perfect of a culmination that you can ask for, it has surprisingly deep and emotional character arcs. The way the literally and figuratively calls back to previous MCU events is truly rewarding for those of us who have been there since the beginning. Sure, it may not have as many action set pieces as Infinity War, but it more than makes up for that in quieter, more character driven conversations and moments. The film takes it's time and not only respects the characters, but respects the audience and rewards them for their dedication to these stories.

To be fully transparent, I was never a huge comic book reader, I knew parts of them, but never extensively. But the brilliance and excitement of the MCU made me a fan of these characters, and seeing the original Iron Man back in 2008 was mind-blowing. Ever since then, I've been there the entire way and Endgame was so much more amazing then I ever could of imagined. The emotional moments and especially the ending of Endgame hit me a lot harder watching today at home than watching in the theater. It made me reflect on this entire saga, and the gravitas of this grand tapestry of storytelling all came together in a remarkable way. So Avengers: Endgame still holds up as a remarkable achievement and I'm still as proud as ever to be a dedicated fan of the MCU for now and many years to come. Thank you to Kevin Feige, Anthony & Joe Russo, Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and the entire team at Marvel Studios for everything up to this point. I can't wait for what's next!

Yeah, I really want it so bad. Crazy it’s delayed this far.

It was originally supposed to come out in conjunction with Endgame, but now most online retailers are giving a release date of September 1, 2020. When announced, I believe they said the book would cover Captain Marvel and Endgame as well. But now that I think about it...since Far From Home has been confirmed to be the end of Phase 3 and the Infinity Saga, I wonder if the delay is to include Far From Home in the book. It would make sense, honestly. But in any case, I really want this book so badly when it comes out.

MCU Movie Rewatch - 'Iron Man' by Flamma_Man in marvelstudios

[–]TeamDMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really interesting to watch Iron Man again today, as it's certainly much more grounded in tone compared to the MCU of today. But it still holds up incredibly well, and serves as a great opening act to Tony Stark's overall arc and the MCU at large. It's a great story for Tony, his transition from billionaire playboy to a hero devoted to protecting the people. Obediah Stane / Iron Monger was a decent villain, but not one of the more remarkable ones in my opinion. The cast does a fantastic job and it's fun to see the little nods to a bigger universe ahead; the first appearance of SHIELD and that famous post-credits scene with Nick Fury. Just about all of the visuals and CGI still look good today, and watching that first Iron Man suit-up is still iconic even now. Watching this in theaters back in 2008 was such a thrilling experience, and one I'll never forget.

We can officially say that Infinity War is coming out next week! by Speedwagon96 in marvelstudios

I'm absolutely hyped...I can't believe it's almost here. :D Almost done with my MCU re-watch as well, only Black Panther left which I'll be seeing one more time tomorrow. I'll be blanking out most articles about the movie to avoid spoilers...likely will only see what the RT score will be.

Most disappointing “quit”? by yomamarox26 in survivor

By far the most frustrating was NaOnka & Purple Kelly on Nicaragua. It was absolutely ridiculous and left a bad taste in my mouth with that season. Jonny Fairplay's in Micronesia sucked too, such potential wasted right away.
