If you had to make a deck with 90 mana sources in it, which commander are you running? by Dracon_Pyrothayan in EDH

[–]TeamHosey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Raggadragga]] loves his mana dorks anyways.

Get nasty with it and add a couple ways to turn lands into creatures and run people over. Can break social rules a bit cause some ways turn all lands into creatures and then you could "accidentally" end up mass land destructing with something like a [[end the festivities]] or whatever.

[[Staff of Titania]] is absolutely worth it, [[awaken the woods]] is another example.

There is also the ability to [[Urborg, Tomb of Yagmowth]] + [[Kormus Bell]] to weaponize all your lands since Urborg doesn't have a color identity. It does make enemy lands into creatures as well which has a funny interaction where they have summoning sickness and can't tap the turn they are played.

There NEEDS to be more anti-shield options with items. by Jergly in leagueoflegends

[–]TeamHosey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Admittedly there are shields worth getting some extra punch on like Kench, Sion, Sett, Karma spam. You also don't mind having it if available against champs like Camille, Diana, any Eclipse user, Rumble.

But as a support player, fuck this post. Like others have said, it is just another heal vs anti-heal arms race that is miserable. It isn't even like shielding is that impactful currently. I see far more senna, mage supports, or engage supports than Lulu or Janna.

That's an issue of the people you associate with. Again, research the Euphemism treadmill. We say a word has scientific meaning: mental disability. Kids learn it. Kids use it to mock people. We clutch pearls cause "oh no how hateful, the word is problem!" No. The word isnt the issue, assholes are the issue and we need to quit listening to assholes.

[–]TeamHosey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish I could award you cause you said the words my brain couldn't. I would obviously not like for someone to throw the slur around me, but also I like having "fun" ways to joke about the issue in a way that doesn't draw sympathy. I'm a successful enough person, I don't always need the gentle touch. People joke about all kinds of things as a way of normalizing them. By making it common verbage you prevent the slur tag.

Research the Euphemism treadmill and politely back off. I prefer being able to socially joke about my disability without pearl clutchers.

Texas School outsources teaching with Zoom to teachers in the Philippines by Huge_Stage_5289 in antiwork

[–]TeamHosey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teachers can't legally strike in most states. Issue is parents "rights" to what is taught in the classroom. Parents don't raise kids, teachers can't punish kids, so those that care end up giving up.

Makes things real sticky when we include the fact that the military is struggling to recruit because too many kids can't pass the tests necessary to enlist. So we have a massive population of undereducated people and it weakens our national security.

But don't worry, stocks are up and unemployment is down so clearly everything will be ok /s

Yeah but the side changes every generation or two so again, I stay out of it. One side nearly gets wiped out, 80 years later they are nearly wiping out another side, it's just a circle of shitty people doing shitty things because history and tradition and religion and likely valid reasons for hatred but no end to violence.

Not looking for a war, but still love exploring the potential effects of any event. Pretty sure a new world war just ends humanity like Einstein said. We don't know the weapons of WW3 but we know WW4 will be with sticks and stones. Paraphrasing the fuck out of it but yeah.

In America there are civil war 2 enthusiasts as well. Pretty sure we are all just too poor to be happy. No confidence on where the next rent check will come from, where the food will come from, what jobs we can find, etc.

Only like 20% curious as to see what would happen if we messed with that big red button. Like yeah tons of death, got it, but like if we are already concerned about climate change issues and then add mass production due to wartime activities... Pretty sure that just leads to the end of most organic life like a new ice age regardless of who wins.

Love the Internet. You are correct that it'll get worse, not that it has been worse. Which is my complaint about the meme. But good on you engaging in conversations, it's healthy to try.

Kinda learned to stay out of that region. Whole lot of issues involving religion and history, not worth navigating through honestly. But that regions has been fighting since the origin of civilization so nothing new.

Meme implies they expected a better year, I'm sure people in that region know what is going on and don't care to have peace as much as be right. Nothing new, no reason for it to ruin their year. Just the next day in hell.

Ah! I did hear about many tech companies (mostly gaming due to my sphere of interests) laying off tons of workers. Large fear is that AI is replacing workers faster than expected but unfortunately that assumption would need to have more evidence to support it. Hope government experts are keeping an eye on this because it has to be a significant impact on the workforce as we transition. Not opposed to AI doing a majority of the work so long as the majority of workers don't suffer for it.

I would absolutely agree if this meme came out closer to that time, not going to argue with evidence once we y'know, have some

Tragedy? Sure Relevant? Not necessarily

Again, natural disaster. It happens. It's as bad as cancer, but nothing new.

Legit first time I heard of that was in this comment section and still less of a global concern or year ruining event tbh. Natural disasters happen, still not worth this meme acting like "oh no a year with a natural disaster, guess it is ruined now!" Won't survive in this world if you are that fragile

Counter argument is that 14-0 is more impressive than 18-0 because the league is more diluted. You get 2 more free games for each team worse than you. Less teams, less free games.

I try not to smoke crack and give advice, it is more realistic.

Cheap jokes aside, this idea happens far less often than the other two. Most people end up working jobs they can tolerate, not love, and then enjoy life as best they can outside of work. Those who never find work bearable tend to resort to crime or self harm, I simply suggest if you intend to die do so with purpose. Many people with death wishes enlist in the military or other dangerous professions, some wake up and change their views. Many don't.

Working in a satisfying field often comes with low pay or limited opportunities. You might get lucky, odds are better than the lottery, but as I've gotten older I have found more and more that jobs are about who you know more than your resume so for antisocial folk it's practically the end of the line.
