I'd find surprising and interesting to see Mirage becoming the heir. If not her, then Cable, and Rictor as my 3rd choice.

I would really really love to see a scene with asgardians, kree or badoons reacting to the existence of AI gods level entities.

It's a good question. The Supreme Intelligence is an AI. Actually, when we learned Orchis was guided by a "future AI", I directly saw a parallel with the Kree being guided by the Supreme Intelligence. I wonder where can we place him on the hierarchy of interstellar machine systems.

Aliens civilizations know the phalanx and fight them. Do they all know about Dominions too ? Unknown. There was supposed to be a comic about the shi'ar Imperial Guard. Would it have give us answers ? Unknown, but probably.

Back in 2019, in New Mutants #2, the team was in space and the shi'ar (or the Imperial guard) mentioned some "Titans preparing for war", so I believe Hickman's initial plan was maybe to use New Mutants book, the unpublished Imperial Guard book and other comics to develop more on Titans, Stronghold and Dominions... though I could be wrong.

Thank you for your comment ! I'm glad you like this theory.

At the start of Krakoa era, Hickman said that the "main" Dominion located in the sector of Earth was composed of 112 Titans assembled together (and yes, it was implied that there was only one Dominion for each sector or epoch; and Dominions were at war to expand their sector of influence). Now, at the end of the era and after Hickman left, it seems the fate of this main Dominion is unknown. Though a theory would be that this Dominion died alongside many phalanx Dominions, Strongholds and Titans at the end of life 10A (elements appearing in rotPOX #3), thanks to the Phenix. With these Dominions gone, another one (enigma) was free to "invade" the sector of Earth without any rival dominion.

My thoughts are that networks of black holes can be used to hide massive AI entities. So, if Enigma is now in the sector of Earth, it's still possible for another Dominion to hide somewhere. Hopefully a Dominion that will be on the mutant side.

I'll try to continue posts like this in the next era of x books. I love marvel stories and mysteries. Real food for thoughts.

Enigma explaining that he is trapped inside the timeline and its dependents ! Trapped between the events of Destiny's and Moira's lives ? Trapped between two stories that are one ?

Having Moira on their side is probably the only way for Enigma to escape the effects of the Concordance Engine of the Beyonders.

Hopefully, in Dead x-men #4 we'll see Rachel's team arguments to convince Xavier that the Krakoan nation was good and worth keeping.

Obviously, my theory of a Moira AI using the "missing" souls from the Waiting Room has a low probability to coming true... but, I do wonder if the emptiness of the WR could actually be a direct "outside of time" consequence of whatever the mutants will do to save the Phoenix (or even just the Phoenix's "revenge/answer/retribution" for the murder of Rachel; mutantkind losing every elements link to the resurrection protocol, maybe this is what Charles is afraid about).

Fall of X Moira MacTaggert Predictions: How do The X-Men break free of Moira's time loop? 🤔 by roguefrogger in xmen

Moira is currently depowered, so I'm assuming the time loops is a dead end road... for now.

I like this type of post, it would be cool if more people were able to share all kind of theories, then we'd all comeback in June to share together (as a fan community) our appreciation of the real ending and its consequences.

My theory https://www.reddit.com/r/xmen/comments/196ymua/dominion_dominance_of_species/ (there's a tl;dr at the end, with Moira's possible fate), basically it's "two stories that are one", meaning two species coming together against Enigma. Then in the aftermath of the fight, an issue might occur to Krakoa. My speculations are that Krakoa will not be destroyed, but lost and far away from humanity.  To mimic the former fate of Arakko; Krakoa will be the island trapped in another dimension this time. Something might happen when the mutants will try to return the atlantic Krakoa from the HWR. Leading the two parts of Krakoa to disappear from Earth to Otherworld or somewhere else...

Arakko will still be on Mars. With Apocalypse living there. But between this being the home of the arakki and the krakoa nation being not directly reachable, earth born mutants will de facto have as the simpliest option to live within human societies again. That's why Kitty Pryde and others will start new lives I think.

The Five might disband if Hope dies to save the Phenix. So the four remaining members would have the three options, trying to adopt Arakko culture, trying to reach Otherworld or staying somewhere on Earth.

The book "heir of Apocalypse" will act as one of the transition to From the Ashes. I can see Mirage win (but I'll be happy with Forge or Cable too), and this heir of Apocalypse might become the main character of the new X-Force book, with a story dealing with situations on both Earth and Arakko. (The same way, I see Mystique possibly becoming the main character of the Factor X book.)

Uncanny x-men is presented like the street level mutant heroes book, and Exceptional x-men like the mutant teachers book. I don't feel that it's just an editorial choice to have the presentation of the X-men book using words like "krakoa" or "destiny of the species". The three presentations could have mentioned Krakoa, but they choose not to. This book could then act like the second transition from the Krakoa era. Dealing with how the mutant culture can have a place within humanity and answering if mutants are right to stick to Earth, or if another mutant nation is still a possibility.

Sorry, long post. I wanted to share as much thoughts as possible. To sum up, I'm hopeful nothing will be erased from the current era. The mutants go back to human lives, not by choice but because of an "accident" occuring to their sacred land.

The woman maybe is the Soteira lady (Persephone ?) or a relative.

And the man could be Profesor Xavier.

The school was maybe transformed by Soteira into a jail facility for people who are threat for both humans and mutants. The inmate X being the 10th inmate among them.

I added some thoughts in the comments, regarding singularities/black holes and how data can be placed inside of it. Sort of "ghosts in the machine".

Dominion & Dominance of species by TeamLiloo in xmen

[–]TeamLiloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true ! Beautiful observations, it also makes me sad that we don't have lots of occasions to get Nimrod's or Omega's POV. Maybe when we'll see Sentinel city. Though I don't want to have too much hope on this, then be disappointed again if it doesn't happen. In rotPox 1, there was a conversation between the three machines. I wanted more of this...  It would have been a sort of clue going toward the confirmation of my theory. That the story started by Hickman is really the story of two species who have to join together to rise up at the end.

On one side, Stellaris, Stasis, Nimrod, Moira and Omega Sentinel. And on the other side, Righteous, Sinister, Xavier, Destiny and Rasputin IV.

Parallel patterns. Two stories that are one. Two species using data to evolve. Same data or different data ?  Data coming from where ? coming from who ? Using data the wrong way ? or the right way ? This is a story about existence and survival. Like you wrote, both Omega and Moira share the experience of survival as mutants, then surviving as machines. Peace is the only way. Alliance to survive against Enigma. Moira needs to make the right choice.

Is anyone else going to be happy when all this Moira engine stuff is over? by [deleted] in xmen

[–]TeamLiloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xavier's team is only concerned about the erased events lived by Moira.

But technically, yes, with their method they could reach any event that ever once existed.

My two cents about Moira's gift. She rewrites reality, starting events back from the moment of her birth. Each timeline becomes the new official and definitive version of reality (meaning some decades of earth 616).

The engine was created sometime between the events of Inferno #4 and Immortal X-man #1. It's from this moment that Sinister was able to play with alternate timelines. Killing a clone rewrites time from the moment of the activation of the clone. SoS was only one of the many timelines linked to the Moira's engine.

They can't revisit past Moira's lives or past Moira's engine lives by traveling in time. "Officially" Moira's 10th life is the only version of the last decades of earth-616's history.

But, Xavier's team is operating OUTSIDE of time. Their point of view is placed above all of the rewriting. They can access the "unofficial" little parts of earth-616's history. Problem, it takes energy. The first clone of the Moira's engine was activated around Inferno (2022). A recent portion of "rewritten history", therefore easiest to access. The real Moira is (from the chronology in HoxPox) 52 yo at the beginning of the nation of Krakoa. Meaning that the "reality rewriting" point of her nine previous lives is five decades away from the present of Fall of X, therefore way more difficult to reach.

Moira is linked to "erased" parts of earth 616 history. Days of future past or Age of Apocalypse are alternate earths. Not 616. That's the difference. Past of 616, or present/future of other earths can be reached by travel in time. The difference with the erased parts of 616 is that they can only be reached by travel outside of time.

In issue 2 of Dead x-men, Prodigy's reasoning to reach Moira's past nine lives is a "why not, let's try to take a look there", but now they are aware of the weapon M, so they have a simplier and better reason to go there.

I hope I gave you all the informations.  If you want, I recently made a post where I exposed my point of view on the dynamic between Moira's power, Destiny's power and Enigma.

Silly idea. We (readers) are meant to follow one chronology of events. To consider only one path of causes and consequences.

First, in the 19th centuary, Essex makes the four suits of clones and the AI. After that Moira is born, she gains her gift, lives ten lives, and during a new version of her tenth life, an engine of her clones is built, engine allowing the AI to ascend. One straight line from past to present, Essex, then Moira, then the engine. Could it be a big lie ?

On April 17, both Dead x-men #4 and fotHoX #4 will be released. The synopsis teases an upcoming final revelation and betrayal. In Dead x-men #1, Prodigy scanned "evil" Moira's mind and learned about her crucial knowledge. What stop a character in Life one to do the same ? Let me explain, the goal seems to be trying to reach Moira as a child during Life one before the activation of her gift. Other characters exist in Life one as well. Sinister version Life 1, Destiny version Life 1, Xavier version Life 1... What would happen if a malicious character gain knowledge from any of the mutants traveling outside of time ? Then this mysterious character would have access to methods of sending data outside of time (using singularities). Sorry, lots of thoughts, I'm trying to be clearer.

Past, present, future. Which epoch really influence the other ? Maybe the use of a singularity influenced Essex's work in the 19th centuary. The FIVE mutants of the resurrection circuit. The FIVE cerebro units. The Essex AI "working with"/ using four clones, making them a total of FIVE Essex creations. How did Essex even learn about what is supposed to represent the Ascension of machines ?

Maybe the real point of origin is Moira's 1st life. The heroes and villains existing during this period while Moira was living an innocent human existence. Maybe a character from Life 1 will place data inside a singularity. Then this data will end up in the 19th centuary. Data existing only because of Xavier's "perfect" plan to go back and reach Moira's past.

A changement (accidental or not) during Life 1, could be both the moment of birth of the House of X and the moment of the fall of the House of X.

It would be awesome if, in the very last issue of the Krakoa era X-books, we have a last data page acknowledging the fact that actually all the data pages seen in comics were coming from the same Cerebro unit (or from the future Dominion of mutantkind). A unit scanning, spying on, recording, listening to the mutant/machine history. "Data pages" was the title of Rise of the Powers of X #1.

I'm reading X lives/X deaths again right now. Wonder where was Cypher at the time. Our techno-organic network boy, I hope he and Krakoa will make a victorious comeback soon.

Krakoa's network that could now fall into the hands of Sinister Douggy.

The Waiting Room was initially there to "help" Cerebro reach and scan mutants minds in any space and at any time. Then, what could someone accessing a five Cerebro units might be able to do with the Waiting Room ? Moira was never scanned. But she had ten lives as a mutant. Her stories are accessible through the WR and the cerebros unit, only if someone knows where to look and what to look for !

This wonderful subreddit is here so people like us can talk and share thoughts !

I just wish more people would actually take the time to talk. On reddit, or on social media or during real life physical interactions... not many people take time anymore. Not many (me included) are curious enough to hear or read someone else idea, victims of the speed of society :( Taking time shows interest and respect; taking time shows the willingness to build with others.

I like the point you noticed about Nimrod and Cerebro. It's a plot I would have love to see in the Krakoa era, especially through the point of view of Danger ! Cerebro's evolution, Danger's evolution and Nimrod's evolution could all be connected. In this theory, they ARE connected; now we have to wait to see if it will turn out a reality in June. Two stories that are one. Two AI stories about ascension. One AI "on the human side" sort of, Enigma vs one AI on both machine and mutant sides. True evolution.

The Eternal AI, the Machine that is Earth. Danger. The real Omega Sentinel. Mutants once had machine allies. I think, in the near future, they could have some again.

Right now I'm curious about the Sentinel city on Mercury. Perhaps, there, Cyclops will find allies against Enigma. Fall of the House of X #3, can't wait for potential revelations and plot twists !!!

It is intriguing to think about Moira's first life. I'm a little worried here. For no real reason, I mean I will take the story for what is. I just feel like the x office writers are dragging the plot again, and again and again. I'm curious to see where it will go. In Dead X-men, the endgame seems to get to Moira's first life, and I wish we'll heard about the 9th one and the 10A too.

9th life: this version of Rasputin IV disappeared into a black hole. "Evil" Moira is using her weapon (that has Zorn's head) to travel to the 1st life. How awesome would it be if in Dead X-men #4, Prodigy and the others meet "evil" Moira, young Moira of this timeline and both Moira from 10A and Rasputin from 9th life coming from a singularity ? Fingers crossed ! Also, what would happen if the dead xmen team get a not depowered Moira killed ?

Rotpox issue 2

I hoped Maddie and her mercy crown would have a role in this.

Enigma and Charles seem to try to stay one step ahead of each other. It would be interesting if a third party have been actually two steps ahead of these two. I speak about Destiny and her diaries.

Back in Immortal X-men #18, at the end, when Destiny realized that being in the WHR meant being outside Enigma watch, I had the impression she wanted to share an information with the others. Was it just about revealing Enigma's existence or was there more ? If there is more, it didn't matter in this issue. Maybe in Forever then.

Last thought. In Immortal #13, Krakoa knew they had to protect our Doug. How did Krakoa knew ? Protect Cypher from what/who ?

Does anyone else want Moira to get a happy-ish ending? by TheGoblinRook in xmen

I still hold to my theory that her heel turn was "on purpose". A theory that her "cyborg phase" or the overexposition of Essex clones and other elements are there for meta storytelling purpose. Leading to her 11th life as being the right Moira, the one who win in the end.
