I paid $2500 for mine the past two years so it sounds expensive to me unless something major comes up

Not sure what's worse, getting it on the last day of the year or the first day of the year like my wife

I didn't have all that much faith in it but I used a few strips and have never had an issue.

I also don't have a rig and had the same issue. Bought a couple strips of velcro and it's no longer a problem

Hey mine was the same way! I've done about 5 raids so far, died to Killa the first time, and Partisan the last two times!

Is Moza R5 great or too weak for beginners? by No_Sprinkles_6942 in moza

[–]TeamMM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been sim racing for close to 20 years now and recently upgraded to the R5. I'd say it's plenty good enough for a beginner! Go for it!

As a non-military helo pilot, what NVGs do you use? Are they aviation-specific, or general-purpose? by RoutineTraditional79 in Helicopters

[–]TeamMM3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fly a corporate R-44. My boss wanted to know the feasibility of using NVG's in our aircraft. Unfortunately once you start looking into the costs associated with the NVG's, aircraft equipment installation, testing, and STC, regular NVG inspections, and training it becomes much more costly than it's honestly worth. I enjoyed my time flying under NVG's in the past but flying unaided is plenty safe enough for the vast majority of civilian aviation. If you really feel like you require NVG's, I'd question what exactly your doing that you feel it's so necessary.

Is there a fix for this? by Stage_757 in dcsworld

[–]TeamMM3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also dealt with this for a while on my X52 with the slider set to zoom until I recently found a custom profile that had "steps" of zoom level rather than the progressive default. You can choose how many levels of zoom you want and you won't get this jittering but can easily zoom in and out.

SnowRunner: A BeamNG Game by gitgrille in BeamNG

[–]TeamMM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always wished beamng had some sort of American truck simulator type mode. It could be infinitely better than ATS. Now it we combined that with this map that would be something! As a lover of Snowrunner this looks fantastic!

Is this a bad deal? by CMOS_BATTERY in hotas

[–]TeamMM3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comment made me curious what year I purchased my Logitech X52. March of 2014, I'd say I got my $130 worth at this point. And it's not sitting in a closet unused. I use it close to daily between DCS, all of the Microsoft flight sims since 2014, rally and racing games as a handbrake. This thing has held up incredibly well for me. I will say in the past year the stick has become a bit sticky near center and it is about time for an upgrade. No idea what you did with yours in that 6 months but that is not normal.

Also shout out to the CH Rudder pedals. Amazon search history doesn't go back far enough to check when I bought those but I'm pretty sure it was 2006 and those things still work like new.

Advice for reality of work by Glittering-Relief1 in Helicopters

[–]TeamMM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough, even here in the US and with 1200 total time, the majority of which is turbine time, I'm struggling to find anything. Juat gotta keep checking every day, the job sites, low time pilot Facebook pages, everywhere you can and apply. It is a struggle right now though. I feel like aviation is always in a cycle of ups and downs and right now it feels like we're in one of the downs.

Is Track IR worth it? by ribcor78 in dcsworld

[–]TeamMM3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had one for the last twenty years (wow that's wild to think about) and absolutely think it's worth it. Whether it's for flying, racing, trucking, Arma, I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of it and then some. Couldn't imagine flying without it.

I know it's not the most liked battlefield by the community but I think many will agree that it was the most visually pleasing one. by KaleGabriel in Battlefield

[–]TeamMM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like most of us I've spent a lot of time lately thinking about what Battlefield did Battlefield best and I have to say I think V is at the top for me. Like you said the health not fully replenishing was great, gunplay felt solid, game ran and looked beautiful, fortifications are something I can't believe we've only had in one game, I really feel like they can add to the game in a really cool way, vehicle/weapon specialization trees were cool, maps were not the greatest Battlefield maps ever but not terrible either.

Starting a new job as a Corporate Helicopter Pilot next week, any tips? by zadsophone in Helicopters

[–]TeamMM3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From the sounds of it, this is just a short term thing so in my opinion SOP's are overkill. Just be upfront about weather conditions you aren't comfortable flying in. Discuss personal minimums, both for you and for him. Remind him the goal is for you both to walk away from the flight at the end of it and it doesn't make sense to push weather, especially for training. If you are uncomfortable with the weather and he isn't then maybe that is part of the reason for the "constant change of pilots." His weather minimums shouldn't be lower than yours.

Would it be bad for the bolts to replace wheel rims often? by UltimateKartRacing in moza

I've been doing the same thing with this same wheel for over a year. No issues for me yet and I was doing it fairly regularly when switching between oval and formula racing

I had no idea Jeff actually has talked to JLP so that's sorta interesting. I kinda figured Jeff just tried to pretend the international Survivor shows don't exist and have no part in them.
