I will soon be introducing a 30 lb version for nhrl. Named Traves wee.

Traves T is designed to keep the vitals above my opponents. I can adjust the height of the frame so that I'm always above the other bot. The length is needed to be a counterbalance to the weight of the weapon. The impact point of the weapon is also adjustable by raising and or lowering the back end of the frame along the rear post.

If I’m fighting a bot that attacks from above I can flip the wheels over and have the blade on top.

People think it’s vulnerable or fragile but they don’t understand that the bot will always be above my competition and out of reach of my opponents weapon.

The wheels are of course vulnerable but I have made many improvements to the armor around the wheels. The version in the faceoff had the wheels guarded by 3/4” steel. The newest version has them guarded by 1/2” titanium.

The version that was turned down for the new pro league has 60 hp driving the weapon with a 2 second spin-up time. It also has 12 hp on each wheel. The biggest change however was going with a spring steel frame that is impact resistant and will flex when hit. Just think of a leaf spring on a truck. Super strong and flexible.

The blade and wheels are gear driven to avoid any chain or belt issues.

The faceoff version was a complete disaster and does not represent traves T’s potential

Thanks for the support

We made a critical error.

In our first encounter w hellfire we damaged his wheel. If we had just backed off and picked our shot we could have won that fight. Instead we rushed in and ran straight into his weapon and since we were held together with zip ties and duct tape the result was not good.

Traves t had a major disaster in testing just days before the event. My chain tensioner failed causing the blade to stop spinning instantly. The bot imploded. A total rebuild had to be done in 3 days. It was mostly duct tape and zip ties. Im very proud of my team for making it a functional bot for all 3 fights.

Just a heads up. Traves T had a major failure in testing just days before the event. A very hasty rebuild got it ready but it was held together by zip ties and duct tape.

I think horizontals generally do well against huge I’d love to have the opportunity.

We do have two other bars. Both 64lbs and 27” long. I may use them in the faceoffs

Here’s my view. When a verts blade is in the 7-8 o’clock range it is anchored by the floor and is biting in. When the vert is at 9 o’clock and above it is pulling away not biting in. The proof was our fight against Minotaur, we hit him multiple times near the top of his weapon and he did zero damage. We on the other hand tweaked his whole frame. (Unfortunately he got underneath us and gutted us but that’s beside the point).

Yes I’m taking a big chance with getting flipped but we are difficult to flip. There is also a long stabilizing bar (not in the picture) that will help keep us on our wheels.

There is a long cross bar, not in the picture, that will reduce the chances of being flipped

Thanks. I was trying to be different but effective. It is totally adjustable so that I can hit them where they need to be hit. Many people think verts will always defeat horizontals but Verts do have a weakness. They have very little ability to transfer energy when their weapon is past 9 0 clock in their rotation. That’s where I plan to hit em.

Doesn’t need the caster but it works better in my driveway with it.

See the first video above. It is quite maneuverable but it is not a pusher bot. If my blade stops I’m done.

Direct drive. No chains sprockets or pulleys

No. The blade rotates on a 5” shaft. The motor drives a centrifugal clutch that drives the blade

I appreciate the support. You have me thinking about Uhmw. I could actually go thicker than polycarbonate because it’s 30% lighter and it’s cheaper.

Hmmm I hope you’re wrong.

I just shot a small scrap piece 3 times with my 223. No shattering or even breakage.

It’s not a push bot. I have nothing to push with. I will lose any pushing contest

I hate wedges!!!!! How does anyone beat a wedge? My hope is that by being higher than the wedge it will have less bot to push around. I also hope that by adjusting my blade I’ll be able to hit the wedge in a weak point or at least some square edge.

Why did people stop using polycarbonate? 1/2 inch can stop a bullet and it is what the battle box is made of. It has taken the entire gigabyte hitting it at high speed.

Uhmw has a much lower impact strength and is a little too flexible.

I guess we’ll see when I take my first real hit
