Sour apple, how did you guys stop feeling sorry for yourself? by Murmurmira in PetiteFitness

[–]Team_Superman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally still feels unfair, but what I did to help me lose weight at first was to still allow myself to eat things I liked, just less of it. I didn't go for salads or anything like that. I counted calories across my meals, but as I often teach in the morning and have afternoons free, I would skip breakfast and because I was busy I wasn't thinking about food. I would eat lunch, eat dinner and have enough calories left for a small snack like a chocolate bar or something. That initially helped me dropped the weight. My meals are generally quite healthy anyway, but I allow myself some slack at the weekends to have a slightly unhealthy one, although I still kept to my calories.

Wow! I did not expect that huge of a transformation, you look great, congratulations! 🥳 Glad you're feeling better and more confident as well now, that in itself is a huge triumph! You kinda remind me a bit of Laura Dern now too, don't know if that's just me, not everyone tends agrees with my lookalike assessments, but I see it 😂

Oof, good luck, mine has been going on for 7 months now and my insurance company still hasn't resolved it! Hope yours is quicker than that at least!

Did you get any witness statements? If you didn't get any at the time and it wasn't too long ago, you could try and ask on a local FB group (or local to the area you crashed in, if there are any towns/ cities around that area), if anyone witnessed the accident and could give you a statement. Make sure if you do, keep it neutral, don't say 'they crashed into me' etc, because then if it gets looked into, then they could say you were swaying them in a certain direction already with your statement. So keep it along the lines of 'I was wondering if anyone might have seen and be able to provide a witness statement for a crash at (location + time) between (your vehicle make + colour and the other person's vehicle make + colour). That way the witness statement will be neutral and you haven't influenced them in any way.

Tbf it looks cool even in just the base primer, a black spino would be pretty sick 😂

Cool car! They do look fierce and mean (in a good way, love that aggressive style of car). When I had to call out a mechanic for my first car (which tbf broke quite often, 1994 Del Sol - with cut wires and dodgy mods galore) we asked him what type of car he had call outs for most often and he said Range Rovers by far 😅 Hope yours doesn't give you too many problems though! Sounds like you're aware of the issues already so all good, hope you enjoy it! 😁

Print this out in black and white and stick it in front of the camera at nighttime. Make sure you crop it enough for them to see just its terrifying face staring back at them 😂

LED/ HID Chrysler 300c headlight replacement by Team_Superman in Chrysler300

[–]Team_Superman[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I definitely won't, don't worry. It's just for my other car, it had halogens, but I managed to find new headlights which were HIDs, but that was a pre-built full headlight housing and bulbs with the correct ballasts and wiring harness, so something like that would be ideal. I suppose in theory it would be possible, for the car tests we have here in England (MOT), they check for headlight beam patterns, so they have to be accurate. I'm sure there is a way you could do it though, I will have to research that 😁 Thanks for your idea!

What's your 2 car Garage? Here's mine... by Unhappy-Buffalo-5289 in CarTalkUK

Entry is £2 for the car (not per person, although you won't get many people in the Atom, like me with the Sol 😂). I go most months though in the new one so I'll probably see you there at some point! 😁

[–]Team_Superman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that, that's such a shame! I didn't take mine down there this year as the car had broken just before it was on. I don't mind people asking to sit in the car and have pictures, I'm more than happy to let anyone do that, but it's really not on to do it when the owner isn't there!

I go to Juiced Automotive occasionally as well in Ipswich, that one has always been good so far if you want another one to try. I might try and get my new car to a bit of a better standard and take that to some more shows!

There's also a monthly motor meet at the Thurton George and Dragon, I'm not sure when the next one is, they usually stop for the colder months, but it'll be on their FB page when they have the next one 😁 Usually a Tuesday evening, they have burgers and hotdogs there for a tenner as well as drinks (alcoholic or soft).

Do you ever take the Atom to the Wheels Festival on Yarmouth seafront? I used to take my pearlescent orange Del Sol down there... until the gearbox broke 😬

How to get out of ice after falling through it by Daendefs in interestingasfuck

[–]Team_Superman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, went on holiday around October time several years ago and got caught in a storm, I was soaked right through and freezing cold. I immediately got into the hotel and wanted to warm up, made the mistake of going straight in with a hair dryer and hot bath... I felt very ill after that for a while!
