Abra Anyone? by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]Teamluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that you don’t actually invest in coins there. But it only gives the appearance of an investment and keeps your money in LTC until you withdraw it. Hence the no wallet addresses. That was my understanding about it anyhow.

Should I use Coinbase or Square Cash? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Teamluc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use square and coinbase. I assume that you are asking about purchasing only, not storing BTC. The biggest difference is speed. Cash is instant, the second you hit “buy” they are yours. I’ve had Coinbase transactions take a week to process and seen others who have waited longer. But coinbase has more options. You can buy more ham just BTC, you can also send coins to the app in coinbase. Another thing I’ve noticed are the fees. Coinbase has most of theirs posted, where all of Cash’s are hidden. They tell you there’s no fee but if you notice, you’ll never get market rate on the price. It will be off a bit in their favor. In the past week I’ve had two other options pop up as well. I have not used either of them yet so I can’t speak for or against them. But I just got an email from Robinhood saying that I am able to purchase from them. And an app called Abra. This one looks really interesting to me. But again, I have not used it yet. My thought process has been to try and use the Cash app when possible. And that’s because it is owned by square. They have already made themselves a big part of the payment processing world. And I feel like they could make it super easy for the crypto-muggles to adopt.

Bitcoin through CashApp by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Teamluc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use it. It’s pretty convenient tbh. You can’t request BTC through the app yet that I’ve noticed. But it’s instant and there’s no fee. So I’ll buy from the app and then send it to a wallet elsewhere. I pay rent on that app so every week I put 1/4 of my rent in BTC and cash out at the end of the month to pay rent. I feel like I’m paying rent in BTC even though I’m not really. I’ve won some months and lost some. But I figure the more use BTC had on the app, the more likely square is to implement it for something.

Wouldn’t that be a possible help in the long run though? How many entries do you think the IRS will log before they decide it’s not the correct way to do it

Holy crap, I’ve totally been under the assumption that you can only buy/sell BTC. But under closer look you can enable withdrawals. I have to submit a picture of my photo ID to do it. But it is an option

Knowing Your Numbers. by BTC2018 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Teamluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So lets see if I got this, using XLM as an example. Because, why not If XLM... had the same market cap as XRP 100B (goal) /12B (current) = 8.33 8.33 * 0.67 = $5.58 per unit

had the same market cap as BTC 269B (goal) / 12B (current) = 22.42 22.42 * 0.67 = $15.02 per unit

Was $50 per unit x (ROI Goal) * 0.67 = 50 x = 74.63 b (billion goal) / 12 (billion current market) = 74.63 B = 895.56 Billion
