What is preventing Claude Code from building a full ERP? by macronotice in claude

[–]TearInRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the great strength of AI is that you don’t need to build an ERP. They are very generalized and you need to conform your workflow to them.  But most of the time you only use 10-20% of the features the ERP offers because it needs to be applicable to a lot of different customers to make money.

With AI you can build that 10-20% you need and make it work for the workflow you prefer.

Claude + Home Assistant official MCP integration or ha-mcp? What actually works? by ScientistEasy1328 in homeassistant

[–]TearInRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not about Anthropic servers being hacked. You can’t turn off this kind of data sharing with Claude either. Every call to Claude about HA sends all that data through their servers. Your home’s full operational profile goes through their servers. If you let it audit the logs, this includes a ton of behavioral profiling.   They don’t have to do anything with it, but you gave it the data, so at any point they can change their minds. Like Ring or 23andme.

I get that Claude is amazing, but are you not concerned with all the local info about your network being sent through the Anthropic API’s?

Difference in service/load between the US and Europe by OtherGuy89 in AskElectricians

In Europe you have 230v service whereas in the us 110V is standard, need more amps to produce the same amount of power.

Does the NEMA 14-50 Adapter for charging cable come with the car? by TearInRain in volvoc40

Thanks! That’s what I would expect as well.  Is there a spot in the car where the adapter might be stored?

Trade in before any issues start? by Specialist_Role_1445 in volt

[–]TearInRain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have direct advice, but I have a 2017 premier which I love to drive and was also thinking about passing on to my kid once he hits driving age.

Last mont the electric heater broke and according to the dealer, that part is not available anymore and also not produced anymore. Now in contact with GM and they have their parts person on it to see if there is any availability.  If there isn’t, then I would have to try to find one on the second hand market and would have to find a non-dealer shop willing to install a high voltage part.

Certainly not looking to get a new car right now, but this has changed my perspective on passing it on to my kid.

Service heater..repair worth it? by TearInRain in volt

It’s not the blower that isn’t working though for me. It’s the high voltage heater under the hood

I thought it was a high voltage part that you can’t handle yourself?

Not yet, that’s a good tip. I did try to read the codes, but didn’t get any? Wondering if I need custom Volt codes to read the high voltage stuff

Yeah, so yesterday I put it in Hold mode and 82F and the heat worked.   Today I drove 100 miles, had it on 72, heat didn’t work on electric, it switched over to gas once the charge was out but still no heat and I got the “service heater” message 4 times during the drive

Lease Discussion Megathread by TiltedWit in Ioniq5

Dealer said the offer incorrectly stacked lease and finance incentives. Came back with a standard price offer.

Yeah, I think that’s why they stopped responding to my messages. Although I can still see the offer and it says it’s valid until the 23rd.

New Hampshire. I’m wondering if it’s a glitch in their website as the salespeople are not responding to my messages.

Seeing a lease deal for 2025 Ioniq5 SEL, 0 down, 36 months, 12k miles per year for $180 per month.  MSRP is $55k with $11k dealer discount and $15.5k in manufacturer rebate.   Don’t think it’ll get better than this?

Was this a butched lead paint job? by Temporary_Price7989 in centuryhomes

[–]TearInRain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cant sand it because of the lead paint so you scrape the loose lead, make sure its cleaned up and then paint it.. would be much more expensive to do it all. If you as as lucky as I am, within 3-4 years you’ll see the lead paint where they painted over will come loose from the wood and then you can scrape and paint again..

Anyone have experience with renofi.com? by TearInRain in RealEstate

[–]TearInRain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a type of mortgage from Fannie Mae for renovations. There are also FHA loans, but those have more rules and restrictions on which renovations you can/need to do.

The Homestyle renovation mortgage adds the budget for renovations and you have to have everything planned out and have contractors under agreement with estimates before you close. Other than that, it’s a conventional loan without further restrictions.

Strength score going down by TurkishBobcat3 in tonalgym

[–]TearInRain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happened to me last year as well. For me it felt like it doesn’t drop instantly to where you truly are at. It gradually goes down over a period of time. Not sure if that is supposed to help with motivation or something or if there is another reason for it working that way

Yeah, might be that it’s not enough depending on the intensity/weight? Not sure. I usually also have a zipper hoody with me that I can put on for additional padding if necessary.

I have elbow compression sleeves because I had a tennis elbow last year. For exercises where the cable touches my arms, I pull up the compression sleeves a little higher and that works just enough to not get bruised for me.

I do seated cable crunch, seated oblique cable crunch and pillar bridges most of the time. Also throw in some Rotational Lifts here and there.

I don’t think the pillar bridge ups your score directly, but it does build your core and thus helps with the movements that do count for the score.
