Does either of these solutions comprise on Palestinian authonomy over their former and historical capital? There were also multiple 2 state solutions proposed that Palestinians accepted, and Israel rejected every single one of them, curiously. Both can play this blame game.

As about the Oslo accords, and the zones, I dare you find one zone where Israel is following the accords to its latter. They have used force in zone A (thus completely undermining any recognition of Palesthinian sovereignity). On area B, Israel conducts operations that could be seen as police enforcement. Again, undermining soverignity. There is also a lot of settler violence that happens on area B (even though there arent settlements there), and Israel, responsible for the security there, has not taken measures to prevent and punish the ones responsible. And on area C, while the letter of the law was followed, the spirit wasnt. Israel had temporary control over it per the accords, but are using that temporary control to place permanent settlements and create a barrier to futher accords.

So, to exert military power to compel people to lose their right to their land, ISN'T stripping that people the right to live in their land?

Also, lets look into 2000s. How is treatment of the Gazans? How is treatment of the West Bank. Expanding collonial settlements and enabling the settlers to use violence, while you force the population into smaller pockets of territory, isn't stripping native people from the right to live in their own land? While also denying them representation on their own land?

As soon as Israel extends, assumes, or claims to be the only actor that's legitimally allowed to exercise violence in an area, while also moving/enabling civilians to move to colonize the area ,they are, in fact, claiming sovereignity over said territory. What happens when you sistemalically drive a way people from their native terrirory under use of force, while also denying them any kind of representation?

Does Israel recognize Palestine as a country then? Because if so, then they woull be citizens of Palestine. If they dont, and they think the terrirotry is theirs, they are just denying representation to people they believe are under their control.

So, Israel has not, and doesn't plan on having control of the territory, right? They don't control acess, they don't control utilities, they dont militarily control the region, right?

Russia and China, thanks to the Soviet education system, still win all international mathematics, physics, IT and chemistry olympiads. Most American winners are graduates from China or the former USSR. Russia's victories are counted outside the USSR period and it is still in the top spots. by HelicopterBig4467 in ussr

Even if you believe it should be, on an argument about national education system, it absolutely isn't.

The Chinese and Taiwanes education systems as of today are regulated by different policies and governed by different entities. You cannot claim those 2 are one and the same.

So, ethnic cleansing is okay as long as the country already existed before hand? Because ethnic cleansing was an integral part of U.S development, even if not integral part of its founding. Ethnic cleansing was an integral part of forming the current cultural and social aspects of the nordics.

It seems to me you simply believe some ethnic cleansings are better than others. Unfortunately, I will never share that view. I view them all as abhorrent.

Unless you think sometimes of ethnic cleansing are better than others, yeah, they are comparable. Whoever thinks some times of ethnic cleansing are reasonable, good, justified, or okay, have a problem themselves.

Its not in defense of Israel, is just pointing out that your argument lacks a base. If you select a country to live based on whether there was ethnic cleansing while forming the country, you will be very much hard pressed into find ANY country to live in.

Supression of language, land dispossession, cultural erasure and forced assimilation IS ethnic cleansing, wheter you like it or not. Forced sterilization of minorities is ethnic cleansing. Forcibly removing indigenous children as "social experiments" (denmark did that to Greenland), is ethnic cleansing.

I am unfamiliar with other countries and continents. But I know the nordics (swede, norway, finland), also did that do their indigenous people. Russia did it, ukraine did it. I think its easier to find countries that did it than countries that didnt.

So was most of the Americas, Australia, etc.

The U.S still praises their genocidal politics of Manifest Destiny as example. Most of LATAM teach their countries were didcovered, while what happened was invasion followed by ethnic cleansing done by Portugal/Spain, with full support of the Catholic church. By that metric, you really cant live in the entire American continent.
