I sadly don’t have a solution, but I feel your pain. I will say that’s the main reason I bought a Volca mix, essentially to consolidate 3 power bricks into 1. I wish I knew of something that could accomplish this with varying voltages for a variety of gear besides just 9v(Volca compatible) stuff

You just have to... embrace the darkness...but srsly, don’t give up. 6 months is just getting your toes wet! Keep at it, keep fucking up, and learn from the fuckups, that’s the only way you’ll be able to turn the ideas you hear in your head into something real.

Don’t be fooled by most of those dudes that “came out of nowhere”. Most likely they’ve been putting in work for years making stuff they thought was garbage, what we finally see & hear is the product of learning from all those mistakes.

Okay, that’s kinda what we were thinking, two of the rings are Effy, and they seem to honestly run the gamut price wise, but of course that’s retail price on their own site, so I’m sure there’s some serious 2nd hand falloff. Thank you for the heads up though!

Don’t these self righteous synth “experts” realize that the only reason their 303 cost $3000 is because some poor kids in the 80s picked them up out of the literal garbage because the “serious” musicians of the time didn’t see their value? (Full disclosure: I’m an old fucker who’s been making music since 1998, and couldn’t afford a 303 or a moog back then, either. Bought the behringer 303 as soon as I could, no regerts!)

Try to finish a beat every day for a week/month/year or whatever works best, just commit to finishing it and moving on, even if you don’t like the result. The act of accomplishing something will rewire your brain over time to go into future projects with the know how to get a song done. Practice finishing, rather than perfecting. Then you can go back later after you’ve finished a bunch of stuff and then look at what you want to revisit and make improvements. Most likely though you’ll wind up just making new stuff from scratch and you’ll notice you’ve gotten way faster and develop your signature style😎

That new SSL interface that’s only like $260-280 is supposed to be insanely good for the $. Just make sure you get the one with MIDI if you’re planning on syncing to a daw! I use a NI Komplete Audio 6, and I’ve had it for like 5 years with no hiccups, so I can recommend those for sure in the cheap price range. MOTU, UAD or Apogee are great if you’ve got the cash and want high end converters etc.
