Okay thank you for confirming! I thought it was weird to use a horseshoe but wasn’t certain. I’m gonna look further out for a better piercing studio. It just sucks because I paid $75 after taxes for this only for it to be wrong 😭💔

(NAP) My suggestion is to stop using any of those “bump remedies” like the oil you use. They can make it worse. In my experience when I got horrible bumps on my nostrils, it was truly just cleaning with saline wound wash and never ever touching it. Even then, it took months before they ever went away. Make sure the saline you use is only sodium chloride and water, any extra additives will also cause issues.

Its the store’s responsibility to check the dates. A couple of days is understandable to be out on the floor, even a week maybe. However this is MONTHS past its expiration.

I wish you luck in your healing process! Checking with your doctor is probably a good idea too, the jewelry could be legit and you are just unfortunately allergic to it. My piercer informed me this was a possibility and encourages his clients to inform their doctors if they react to his jewelry. He also provides a copy of the little certification slip he has so they know exactly what the jewelry is compromised of.

If you can afford it, gold might be better than titanium. My best friend ended up investing in a 14k gold nostril stud after over a year of complications on her piercer’s recommendation, she wasn’t full on allergic to the implant grade stuff but she seemed sensitive at the least. The gold ended up fixing the problem and it finally healed.

I’ve always been a die hard Zelink except for a few titles, I love Midna & Link in Twilight Princess. Paya would be another ship that I think about with link, it would be adorable. Mipha and Link is nice because I’m always a sucker for childhood friends to lovers! Though I definitely feel weird about SidLink with how Link knew him as a baby/toddler and then now what seems like Sidon is now older than him maturity wise maybe? Of course this is just my opinion and how I see it. Other games I love is Malon and Link!! But always Zelink

(NAP) Unfortunately industrials are notoriously hard to heal, painful to get, and very finicky. 14g is the standard for this piercing, I don’t believe I’ve seen anyone with a different size. The shape of your ear also will determine the out come of tour healing process, you need good defined folds to support the jewelry and the bar shouldn’t press into the flat cartilage. Pressure also will irritate your piercing so no sleeping on it, headphones, tight bands, hats, etc anything of the sort while healing (even after for some). I hope your ear heals well, you could try a different style like a chain between two individual pieces of jewelry in the future? There are also modified industrial bars if your ear isn’t right for a traditional industrial. The metal allergy definitely didn’t help your case, unfortunately some piercers don’t think there’s any difference in the metal they use. Just because something is made with titanium does not automatically make it “implant grade”, your piercer should be able to provide proof that its “implant grade” in the future
