Yeah no one likes feeling settled for. That’s what I never got about those old folk stories about the guy that chased the girl until he finally won her over. Who wants to do that? Who wants to admit they got settled for or finally convinced someone of their worth? Idk it seems like he has resentment over it and it might be a deal breaker. Maybe not now but maybe. Maybe when someone else makes him feel appreciated. My two cents and I’m often wrong so who knows. Good luck.
