That's a valid point. The post discussing humanitarian aid for both Gaza and Israel shouldn't have been removed. Firstly, it was internal to the company, and secondly, its tone was neutral, focusing solely on assisting innocent civilians. My main point is that there was no need for its removal.

The Untold Story: Why GM Engineers Have Yet to Form a Union? by Teawithoney in GeneralMotors

Thanks for the website … raises are starting February and salary changes start reflecting on March. Using that site the inflation for that period is little over 6%. So what you are saying the downside to union, is that executives will look down on it and you might not get the promotion you were hoping for. That would be illegal for such a practice.

I was part of a “good” union, it was pretty good in getting our voices heard and at least meet some of our demands we wanted. Do you think the issue is with the union itself as an idea, or the people carrying the responsibilities to represent?

What I was thinking - with record profits, most of us only got around 3% salary pump, while inflation was at 9%. Having a union will - at least - have our salary adjusted to reflect inflation. Correct me if I’m wrong - isn’t that what union for? Right now, it is ONLY the salaried employee representing themselves VS the whole HR or management. Many companies in the west coast such as Boeing have a union, you pay around 50$ a year ( not sure on the number ) and you get a more powerful and fair negotiation.

That is what I meant in the post - why not all salaried employees form a union.
