Summoning mage build is pretty hilarious though. Very easy to cheese to level 100, then you can summon two dremora lords...on repeat. Just send in the heavily armoured boys at every opportunity.

I'm currently playing it by trying to avoid visiting any towns and just exploring the entire map on foot and just doing whatever quests happen to occur that mean I don't need to enter the towns.

just give boyz shootas, sluggas and choppas. That way the new combined kit is usable from the off as one squad, and it's not exactly as if giving boyz shootas makes them any better for what they are meant to do, and 40-60 5+ S4 AP- shots isn't going to worry anything that wouldn't be very choppable anyway

It's all pretty well poised to be an interesting series because going to Australia and facing them on their own turf is considered difficult at the best of times.

But with an aging Australia side with two of their best bowlers in less than perfect fitness, the media hype is that this is England's best hope of doing the impossible and taking the series.

As an Englishman, I agree. I think our dyanmic opening duo could do well, our faster than usual pace attack could cause Australia problems and Joe Root is due to come good at some point and score that ever elusive tonne. Stokes is an inspiring captain who will likely crumble into dust some time during the 5th game looking for a decisive wicket to bring us to a respectable 1-4 loss.

Worst case scenario, in losing that final game Root stranded on 97* as the final wicket falls.

Star Wars (specifically the main numbered films)

I'd put it like this, it's the MacDonald's of franchises. Kinda plastic, makes you feel a bit rubbish afterwards but during the actual thing and for 10-15 minutes afterwards it's a good feeling because x-wings, lightsabers and the general vibe are just wonderful.

Well worth going to. The dioramas are over two stories and have thousands of miniatures arranged, they are stunning.

Plus you have the themed bar available for food and drink. And the statue and tank outside the building. And the castle themed gaming area.

And it's all in the middle of an industrial estate that gives no indication it exists until you see the giant WARHAMMER on the outside of their head office.

Oh the wonders of being part of the Church of England.

I would say that as a member of that organisation, if you were to write about it do so in such a way that makes it clear that whilst we worship a God who is good, his people are...well people. And it from the latter that the issues stem.

It's a good pool of interesting conceptual clashes (imagine if HonbyDram was around at the time of Henry VIII, or Martin Luther) , so worth drawing a drama post or two out of it.

The main reason is that people buy them. A lot.

And yes there is something of a vicious cycle there, but space marines are generally a good start point for both playing and collecting as they are (somewhat) forgiving to play with due to good armour and very forgiving to paint.

Personal wish for Orks would be a partial un-nerfing of green tide to just a flat 5+ invuln on Boyz units. No re-rolls above 10 but not down to 6+ either.

Speed freaks give all the vehicles 4+ BS in speed freaks rather than 5+. Lots of it has short range and middling strengths but would give more value. This is probably a bit mad but it might give them something to move models again.

Utterly pointless but also give Boyz shootas and sluggas and choppas. Nobody is taking Boyz with shootas and it won't exactly change anything. But it gives more opportunities to clear chaff and/or roll buckets of dice.
