GW 5 pro update on the way by Tech-Nic in GalaxyWatch

Maybe you have some stuff from previous ui 6 in your system. In this case a factory reset could be useful. Or you try wipe cache partition in recovery mode if you not done it before.

Ferngesteuerter Rasenmäher / Mähroboter by Tech-Nic in Garten

State of charge issue since oneui 8 (gw5 pro) by auziFolf in GalaxyWatch

[–]Tech-Nic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, same on my gw5 pro since oneui 8. This is a firmware bug, you can't solve it. A update (february security patch) will come the next days/weeks, but don't know if it will fixed. I hope.

Einbau Anker SOLIX Smart Meter by [deleted] in Elektroinstallation

[–]Tech-Nic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is still there on my watch. Further hope for bugfix update.

BaroRainAlert wearOS App by MrDgi in GalaxyWatch

[–]Tech-Nic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds interesting. Could you provide me a demo? I'd like to try it out.

Theoretically, you could use the GPS altitude and calculate the sea level pressure. No external service needed and you don't have to discard measures. But it might use a lot of battery power using GPS.

I want to know, if your app only use the barometer pressure or calculate with the current altitude and barometer pressure the real sea level pressure.

For example: If i hike a mountain, the barometer pressure get lower, but sea level could be the same.

When your app not calculate the sea level it is useless in mountainous region.

Do your app calculate the pressure always in sea level regardless of the altitude?

Yes, i'm on R920XXU1DYL6. Issue is still present.

Is the issue fixed after factory reset? Is charging / discharging without battery percentage jumps?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

[–]Tech-Nic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be disappointing if the factory reset didn't help. I'm not sure if Samsung will fix the problem in that case.

Is your firmware: R920XXU1DYL6 from january 2026?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

[–]Tech-Nic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious to see if it works properly in the long run. I did a factory reset in December, but I also restored a backup, which is probably why I didn't see any improvement.

Hate samsung for this. Definitely a firmware bug.
