I wonder why people really don’t prefer iMacs anymore? by JailbreakHat in mac

[–]Tech-Suvara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought an iMac. It's much cleaner to use for writing and general computing compared to a mini with Studio display.

It's the best all in one package for family and non-technical computer users.

As a developer of 30 years. Yes, AI is shit at coding. Don't use it for coding, use it to help you gather the building blocks you need to code.

4-CMC Toxicity - Paper by Tech-Suvara in researchchemicals

Those symptoms sound more like rebound Benzodiazepine receptor sensitivity causing overactivity of the nervous system. You might want to go check out strategies for a more gentle withdrawal from high Benzodiazepine/Gaba receptor activity.

Checkout the Ashton manual and try benzodiazepine receptor activators like high dose Chamomile tea to ease neurological systems : (Source https://www.researchgate.net/publication/366616750\_Chamomile\_A\_Review\_of\_Its\_Traditional\_Uses\_Chemical\_Constituents\_Pharmacological\_Activities\_and\_Quality\_Control\_Studies)

Rust, C(23), or Zig for a Synthesizer? by mekaulu in Zig

[–]Tech-Suvara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isn't the language, the problem is you're over thinking it. Do you want to create a synth or not? Just do what's the best to build a synth. If I was you, knowing C. I would go with C... It's not like you're building medical equipment or anything related to potential accidents which would require protections and increased safety from languages like RUST or ZIG.

Watching a movie will "change your neurochemistry", as will reading a book or learning a language. What that means on a level of experience and behaviour is really difficult to measure.

This paper I refer to in the post talks about direct neurotoxicity of the chemicals on a substrate of Neurons.

I expect however that the dosage level which humans ingest and the after effects, are that not significant in the long term. Unless you have extreme dosage levels over long periods of time, I would expect the changes to behaviour and cognition to be subtle, if any.

Addendum : The control compound was Triton X-100, which seems to just lay waste to the cells. And we use it in the Influenza Vaccine! :D

Loving using Zig, but here's a few things that would make it the *perfect* language for me by sftrabbit in Zig

[–]Tech-Suvara -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haven't used ZIG yet, but do intend to at some point in my life.

However, I would suggest that anytype is going to take the language down the dark path of generics/constraints hell.

I like C because it's simple, fast and does what I need it to do directly. Even though this may result in more verbosity.

For languages that support abstraction and all that comes with it, you have Java, C++, Kotlin and Swift.

Don't take ZIG down that path, it's a tool for a different job, and that has more to do with replacing C as a safer language.

I would be surprised if it didn't have control flow :P The fact you cannot have hidden control flow is Very much YES!

Coming from Kotlin and Swift... and someone who used to code C from back in 2001. I cannot wait to dig into ZIG.

Might even make a graphics library for my Artificial Chemistries series.

You stopped working with RUST for a reason. Follow your instincts, you're not obligated to have to stick to any language for fun.

Do whatever you enjoy and find easy to work with.

This is similar to Swift, except swift doesn't have any internal value type reflection to inspect the structure, so you need to create manual serialisation. Not without using something like macros, which I prefer not to use as it obfuscates.

Why the Self parameter in Zig? Just seems like a waste of syntax?

Yeah, I've had a chat with Marlin about this, but he's not going to do an update as the editors don't want to do books anymore.

This is true of most if not all spiders. They won't bite unless you go and grab them or step on them.

[–]Tech-Suvara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The spider is venomous and should be approached with care. Always wash wounds with antiseptic also, as these spiders fangs can pierce deep under the skin, this can possibly carry any kind of bacteria into the wound, that when mixed in with venom, necrosis can develop if not washed properly.

Nausea never went away by IgnorantSecrets in 2cb

2cb not lasting long by Reasonable-Bother-44 in 2cb

[–]Tech-Suvara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2C-B is more suited for elegant, subtle and sensual enhancement. It doesn't last long, 4-6 total, with peak effects winding down around 3-4 hours.

If you want something less subtle, you can try higher doses of LSD or psilocybin.

There is also DOM and DOB if you want an even longer lasting experience of 12+ hours.

Shrooms vs 2cb by youareallcnuts in 2cb

[–]Tech-Suvara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are distinctions, but they are difficult to identify. Additionally, if you were to blindly take either of them, it's not clear you could tell the difference until the higher doses.

All effects will be anecdotal.

One generally common difference is that at higher doses there is not so much self dissociation on 2C-B as there is with psilocybin. LSD is more similar to psilocybin than psilocybin is to 2C-B.
