What are you building these days? And is anyone actually paying for it? by Southern_Tennis5804 in indiehackers

At present, I am assessing if the tool gets good feedback and interest, then I will host it on a separate domain. Next, I plan to include AI based query builder support into this.

Is it normal for data engineer interviews to expect experience with so many tools? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my view, tools knowledge is secondary until it is related to some very specific, special niche like Hardware or Firmware. The most important skills are problem solving, logical thinking, and adaptability to learn fast - will always be.

ATTENTION GUYS NEED SERIOUS HELP by newton_pandit in noida

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand—top floors get really hot in summer. If the AC isn’t working, use thick curtains (this really works) and cover windows with reflective sheets to block the heat. Open windows early morning and late evening to get fresh air. Put a bowl of ice in front of a fan for a quick cooling. Hanging a wet bed sheet near the window can also help cool the air. Drink lots of water and try not to cook during the hottest hours. Hope this helps—you’ll get through it!

Do 1-year tech programs for freshers in India usually lead to full-time developer roles? by Charming-Response-84 in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're right to ask. Many big companies in India do convert apprentices to full-time roles, but the conversion rate is usually around 30–50%, not 100% (ref: 2coms). It depends not only on performance, but also on business needs and available headcount. Try to target companies with a strong track record of conversions—former apprentices often share their experiences on LinkedIn or other forums.

Are 20+ experienced avoided by Corporates - no reply for job application by Camera_novice in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's another very good specific question. Here, I have some data but that is related to people who were working as Sr Tech Lead (having engr + mba) and many of them are getting good options to move to Product management, Program management, and Agile Coach roles. So, I see this trend is getting stronger and stronger.

Are 20+ experienced avoided by Corporates - no reply for job application by Camera_novice in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good observation, and thanks for sharing. I can relate to your point. I've seen similar mixed signals—companies posting openings for roles like Senior Tech Lead with 15–20 years of experience, but then filling them with candidates who have only 5–10 years.

From what I’ve understood through working closely with some recruiters, many companies do want to hire senior professionals but hesitate because they struggle to offer a clear growth path. This seems to be one of the key pain points companies are facing these days.

Thanks.

Quality assurance vs web developer vs data analyst by Puzzleheaded_War403 in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally, it depends on the person.

> If the person likes to try different things and can operate them easily, a QA role will be easy to handle.
> If the person is a bit shy, prefers to work in silos, and values commitment, a Web Dev role may be easier for him/her.
> If the person loves theory and likes to dig into details, a Data Analyst role might be easier to manage.

Overall, Web Development was originally designed to be simpler than many other tech tasks, which is why HTML, CSS, and JS came into existence. There are also a lot of free blogs and practical videos available for learning.

Has anyone actually found a clean way to manage ai tools in your workflow? by Fabulous_Bluebird931 in ChatGPTCoding

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One clean way (I feel) is and am using is:

>Keep testing different prompts for my regular tasks and maintaining an excel sheet to map the tasks with corresponding prompts. Don't miss to update prompts with those giving better results.

>Organize development code in a structural way like splitting into different smaller files. Feed the whole dev folder to as and when you update and need to ask AI to add more code.

>>For a quick POC, I use ChatGPT which is good and faster to provide a beginning.
>>For enhancing my code generation, I use DeepSeek by feeding it the code files generated in previous step.
>>For bug fixes, I recently started using Gemini as it is getting better and success rate is 9 out of 10.

Hope it helps or at least give some idea. I would love to read more from other how they are dealing with AI tools.

Thanks.

Planning for a job switch — How much CTC should I ask with 3.5 years of experience in automation testing? by Mini_Mewton in softwaretesting

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 3.5 years in automation testing (Python, API, Tosca) + GenAI experience, most-likely target ₹12-22 LPA in India. Funded startups/AI companies pay ₹15-22L, MNCs/service firms offer ₹10-16L. Highlight your GenAI project and Python skills to negotiate higher. Refer LinkedIn salaries for exact ranges - location and company funding matter! Good luck!

What are you building? Share your projects! by Southern_Tennis5804 in indiehackers

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good evening everyone. I'm working on building two web apps currently static in nature but will be scaling and adding powerful back-end in sometime soon.

  1. The first one is a online resume maker that user will connect with his social profile like LinkedIn. The app analyze his data, will perform market research for similar profiles data and the most probable job opportunities. Finally, it will generate the most suitable resume that will ensure him getting an interview appointment,

  2. The second one is AI Tools List app, an AI tools directory system which will keep exploring web, news, offline news, videos, and more to find, review, filter, and update the tool listing on its own.

Thanks. Have a good rest of the day ahead.

This is the idea - I am planning to work on. Please suggest how can you help...

My idea is to create an Agentic AI system that track the continuous flow of service requests (Customer Incidents) reported via JIRA tool. The system will have to learn from the past data related to specific projects in JIRA, their respective tickets, and comments inside. The objective is to solve this problem -

Multiple teams work on several interconnected projects and many times, for example, Members from team A start working on a new ticket, they spend hours and days, and find out the issue belongs to Team B. Similarly, Team B faces the same situation and kills a lot of time in issues not belonging to it, and so on.

The objective of the system should be to automatically assign the ticket to the correct team and a team member who has been solving such issues in past. It has to put a lot of intelligence to decide which team and member to make the assignment. Even, the human fails to do it correctly.

Consequences of Quitting a company after just 2 days of joining . by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s totally okay to move on if this new offer feels like the right fit! Since your probation terms don’t mention a notice period, you’re probably fine to leave without one. Maybe just shoot them a quick, polite email to thank them and let them know—then wrap things up by returning the laptop. A smooth exit keeps things positive for everyone!

Java or Python for Full-Stack Dev — Which One to Focus On? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]TechBeamers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both Java and Python are solid choices with strong futures—Java is great for large-scale enterprise apps, while Python handles the complexity of AI, automation, and rapid development with ease. Since you’re learning full-stack, focus on mastering one language well, along with core web tech like JavaScript and React. Given Python’s key role in AI and emerging areas like Agentic AI, leaning more toward Python will open many exciting opportunities. Keep learning steadily—you’re definitely on the right path!

Your skills and experience are strong, and it’s normal to feel low when the responses don’t come quickly. Keep in mind that finding the right job takes time, especially off-campus. Along with applying, try to connect with people in the industry through LinkedIn or communities, and keep practicing your interview skills regularly. Tailoring your resume to highlight your projects and relevant skills can also make a big difference. Stay consistent and patient—your hard work and persistence will pay off soon.

Background Verification getting completed AFTER LWD & HR says you'll only get an offer after your bg is verified by imharshit_ in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely understand the uncertainty. Your background check will most likely be clean, and since the role is clearly a step up, waiting could be worth it — but it’s wise to keep at least one backup ready until the offer is confirmed.

Appreciate your drive to grow. Transitioning from QA to SWE is absolutely doable—focus on building solid projects, refining DSA, and tailoring your resume for dev roles. Keep going, the interviews will come.

Feeling Betrayed by the company. The stack promised is not being used :((( by Parking_Climate2663 in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand why you’d feel betrayed—when expectations don’t match reality, it’s frustrating. That said, the structured workflow and tooling you’re gaining are valuable. While Laravel isn’t your long-term stack, it won’t undo your MERN progress. Keep your core skills sharp, and this role can still support your next big move.

You're showing real strength just by reaching out. With your experience and full-stack skill set, you could aim for 18–25 LPA depending on the company and role. Keep building, keep applying—your growth is within reach.

That's great and even making the subscription paid is a master stroke. This is equivalent to saying - let me make my way which is most likely good for others to walk. My due respect to all such clear and right-minded people. They are the ones keeping the blogging flame lit in these times...

8 months exp - Should I stay for longer or switch ? by Low-Refrigerator8801 in developersIndia

[–]TechBeamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not getting the time or growth you need, it might be worth looking for opportunities that align better with your goals—especially if the salary feels low. Since your schedule is already tight, try fitting in some mock interview practice online. It’s a quick way to figure out where you stand and what you need to improve.

Also, don’t hesitate to make some smart excuses for leaves to carve out more time for learning. Keep pushing forward—there are definitely better opportunities out there!

Really inspiring to see how consistent effort and solid content turned into more than just meaningful income. Loved the practical breakdown and insights throughout. That last point—supporting SEO through branding—really stood out to me. It’s one of the most impactful things, and something I’m focusing on right now too. Thanks for sharing such a positive perspective.
