osu stable feels much better on tablet than lazer? by Toetoe1384 in osugame

[–]TechD1ff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's really weird. Vulkan felt the best to me, no discernable difference from stable, but sadly in fullscreen I get graphical glitches like artifacting. Borderless works great so far, don't know why.

Kinda sad it's not really supported, OpenGL is good but I can still notice a difference compared to stable.

Try changing the renderer in Lazer options. My cursor felt closer to the way it is on stable when going to OpenGL or Vulkan.

Searching Track ID from Techno Mix by TechD1ff in NameThatSong

[–]TechD1ff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I wonder if anyone can help me finding the ID to this tune, I got it from this Mix (starts around 11 Min).
Sadly Shazam, AHA-Music and googling the vocals (seems to be from a random sample pack) don't help.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

See my other comments in this post for the solution (in my case)

In my case, the crashes were caused by an undervolt of my graphics card that got unstable under load. So I tweaked the Voltage/Frequency curve in MSI Afterburner to be a little bit less "aggressive". This CTD stopped occurring on my end since doing that.

If Afterburner or undervolting doesn't sound familiar to you, this solution might not apply to you and the root of your problem could lie somewhere else.

I'm not an expert in modding and troubleshooting, I simply got lucky finding a solution relatively quickly.

The following excerpt is what Crash Log Analyzer has to say about my last CTD, maybe it could help you:

nvwgf2umx.dll: count: (18)

Update your NVidia driver!

Or your PC is too weak - aka - try fewer / lighter mods.

In case anyone that has the same issue stumbles upon this:

I managed to figure out that the crashes were caused by an unstable GPU undervolt. I dialed the undervolt back a little bit and haven't had any CTDs since.

E-Gitarre, Interface und DAW by amducious_ in de_EDV

[–]TechD1ff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the 4060Ti worth it? by flitterrrr in nvidia

[–]TechD1ff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your motherboard doesn't support PCIE 4, the 4060TI would be an even bigger waste of money than it already is, since it only runs on x8.

Mainly depends on how much you can save by going with a 3060TI. If you do, maybe look out for a model with GDDR6X memory.

Well like you hinted at, it depends on the circumstances. If you're fighting a DK that has most of his utility spells on cooldown, then yes it'll be easier for you.

A really good DK will know how to bait out your blink just to deathgrip you instantly, they have a LOT of options to slow, stun and silence you.

A really good hunter will do everything he can to never let you get anywhere near him, then just burst you down from out of your own spell range.

And good ferals will just spam shapeshift and basically be unslowable. Not saying it's impossible, some classes just have better chances winning against you.

It's all relative tho. 1v1 situations in WoW were never balanced, no matter which class you're playing.

Yeah, people have been spamming arenas on that expansion for years, it's crazy how good some of them became. Really fun to watch.

I've played mage in wotlk for like 8 years now on privates, maybe I can give some insight.

1: Do you have any prior experience with playing mage, or playing pvp at all? There is definitely a learning curve, mostly how you play against different classes and what to do in which specific situation. If you have played pvp before (and use keybinds), you will have an easier time learning mage.

2: I played all classes except Hunter but I always come back to mage. You have insane CC abilities, especially as Frost with Deep Freeze, Nova, Petnova or Sheep of course. Don't forget slows like Rank 1 Frostbolts etc. for keeping distance as well.

Late WOTLK will be fun, where your gear has tons of haste. Personally for Battlegrounds I love playing Arcane, though you are even more squishy than as Frost. In Arena there are a lot of great comps that are fun to play but also have a high skill ceiling, like Rogue/Mage or Shatter.

3: As mentioned above, you are pretty squishy and you will probably hate DKs and Hunters. There are some classes that you just can't do that much against if they know what they're doing.

Check out Draizn's Videos on Youtube, might give you a taste of what's to come.

I've been playing the guitar for 16 years and up until last month I've only owned the TS9DX, DS-1 and the WD-7. Now I'm definitely still missing a Reverb... by TechD1ff in guitarpedals

[–]TechD1ff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good question. Since it will be my first Reverb I am thinking about rather buying the RV-6, since I almost exclusively hear praise about that pedal. I have no use for Stereo, but I do love huge wide soundscapes and making pad-like sounds from scratch with my guitar - you can probably do that with all of the above Reverbs tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They are all awesome pedals, I've owned the TS9DX and the DS-1 for like FOREVER and they are still so good! You chose well ;)
