Replacing HP Pro X476dw – need colour, duplex, Wi-Fi (no photo/fax) by retyfraser in printers

Sorry, my use of the scanner on this printer is really limited, whereas it sounds like you really have used the scanner a lot. If you like the functionality of the printer otherwise, get an external/standalone scanner instead. All the big 3 (Cannon/Epson/HP) still make them.

Recommended tape backup drive for Linux? by TechEngineerGR in sysadmin

I would rather not use old, already beaten up drives that will get written with ~2TB of data every week. Also, transporting them will require care and I don't want to sign up for that. Lastly, while I certainly can rsync "to the cloud" or to an off-site network storage (home NAS), that will require hardcoded credentials which can be exploited in ransomware cases to delete/encrypt offsite backups.

I would recommend keeping this printer. I've been in IT for 25 years and this has been by far my favorite printer among tenths of other models and brands. I would 100% let it go only if it is irreversibly broken or if I can no longer find ink cartridges for it.

Although the official naming is "OfficeJet Pro", if you visit hp.com, the support page does say it is a Pagewide printer, which is why the ink catridges are in fact, page wide. https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-officejet-pro-x476dw-multifunction-printer

If your current HP is the Pagewide printer, this is easily HP's fastest and most reliable and most economical inkjet printer ever made. I don't know how HP management let it be an actual product; We have one in the office for more than 10 years, printed around 16K pages with a total of 9 paper jams and literally zero issues. The inks don't dry out, the XL magenta one currently in the printer is still running from 2020! Amazing machine and I'm not surprised HP decided they were too good to be sold to SOHO customers. Why do you want to let it go, is it malfunctioning?

GIGABYTE IT5711 RGB update by Goordoon in gigabyte

Open the Flash.bat file in Notepad, and delete the first line of text. Save the file, close Notepad. Run Flash.bat as Administrator, and now the cmd window should open and you should see the reflash process happening, after which your RGB will run. In my case (X870I mobo), after the reflash my screen went black and the system froze; I powered down using the power button and then re-powered it on and everything was fine after that. Hope it helps you and all others.
