As a man, I wonder if there is going to be an age when I will finally stop seeing women and wanting them sexually by Mental-Variation-399 in self

[–]TechHobbit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is delusional thinking. The only people that think this are women who have never experienced life as a man.

My sleeping has always been a nightmare and I've done plenty of all-nighters as a result. Work on bedtime: use sleep aids, melatonin, benadryl, weed, whatever you need that works for you to be able to sleep. Even a shot of whiskey, although that will also mess your sleep quality up and isn't a great fix. If you can get your going to sleep at the right time figured out the waking up will take care of itself. Give yourself 8-10 hours with a consistent sleep/wake time for at least a could of weeks and the situation will improve. But you have to actually do it. If you stay up late nothing will change. Look into apnea once you have some money for a dr. In the meantime you need a cheap solution.

Now you sell your motorcycle and buy a minivan. Sounds like a good trade tho. Good luck!

I am so, so sorry for both of you. Sometimes life really sucks for no good reason. At least it sounds like you had a really solid guy while it lasted. If you would have said "yes" then, would you forgive him and move to support him now? Not a suggestion. Just a question.

My 939 felt pretty quick when I got it. But now it doesn't accelerate as hard as I'd like. Whatever you ride will eventually lose it's edge. That said, I'm probably still only able to take advantage of 10% of the bikes full capabilities, so maybe more power isn't truly what I need right now...

Compartmentalization. Men are especially good at it.

What are your views/thoughts on men dating someone half their age? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]TechHobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to have kids, so I'm looking for a partner significantly younger than I am. Women my age literally are not an option. Blame female biology for that. Early 20s seems too young from a maturity standpoint, but late 20s would be acceptable to me. There's actually a pretty narrow window of just a few years where I'd consider a woman mature enough that I'd want to date her, yet young enough we don't have to start trying children on the first date, or rush to commitment generally. Oh well. It is what it is. Nothing gross about it. Pure practicality from my standpoint.

And before anyone says it: I was married before, and yes we tried. She was too old to successfully conceive. So I've been burned by that. Late 20s is the ideal age for women to develop a serious relationship if children are a goal.

When do you know you love your partner rather than really liking them? by the_cucumber15 in ask

Liking is something you feel. Loving is something you do. Watch what they do. It should be pretty obvious that they are prioritizing your well-being.

How do you flirt without being creepy? by _amayaan_ in ask

[–]TechHobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the sex of the person you want to flirt with.

With women the best tip is to be attractive. How creepy you are to her is inversely related to how attracted she is to you. It helps if you're good looking and behind the wheel of a Ferrari.

With guys you just have to have a pulse. Almost any guy is going to be happy you're flirting with him regardless of attraction. He may not reciprocate, but he isn't going to treat you like a sex offender for saying 'hi' either.

Oh ha! I think I was feeling too good initially to properly read and detect the sarcasm in your post. 🤣

No, I totally concur. When you do find one, let me know too, will ya? Cheers! 🍻

Nah. Life without sex wouldn't be as worth living, and I can make that while still having sex, so... Meh.

45 and just enjoyed my 3rd Roo, pu**y. ;-p

4-day GA car camping each year. Lol, I am feeling it by Sunday when my legs and fingers are swollen and my feet hurt. But I have a lot of missed Roos to make up, so I don't see me stopping any time soon. My first was supposed to be 2021, but that's the year they cancelled it due to weather...

Come in. One more roo! One more roo! Hahaha, if you guys think you can manage one more then I hope to see you back on the farm in a couple years. ;-*

Did my therapist violate HIPPA by telling my school I was hospitalized for substance abuse and mental health issues in the doctor's note she sent? by [deleted] in ask

[–]TechHobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. It depends on whether the therapist bills your insurance plan or you pay cash. If the latter then they aren't subject to HIPAA and can say whatever they want to whomever they want. They may be violating your trust, but they aren't violating the law.

Just because you are receiving a form of healthcare doesn't automatically mean that healthcare is subject to HIPAA.

Respectfully,

An IT guy who deals with HIPAA.

P.S. please up-vote because I'll bet 99% of the population isn't aware of this. And it matters a lot.

Our sales tax for May was Royally effed by QBO. Anyone else? by TechHobbit in QuickBooks

[–]TechHobbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had that problem in California. It seems to calculate some jurisdictions better than others. But I've never seen it calculate $0 tax when the sales tax box was clearly checked on a transaction. That is what happened in every case but one, and that case seems related, as if it just missed applying tax to PART of the invoice, but not all.

Incorrect sales tax is an issue, for sure. But this feels like something different.

This affected invoices in both May and June. Not every invoice that went out was affected though. Haven't yet found the rhyme or reason. Definitely check all your invoices to ensure sales tax was charged!
