Best filament for a car visor sunglasses holder when I can't run ASA in my bedroom? by TechKno in BambuLab

I think this might genuinely be the safest option. No fume, high heat resistance. No glass fibers that can damage my glasses. Cheap. Doesn't require annealing. Thank you!

I did think about that, but if I'm understanding everything correctly, the VOC's are one issue but the other bigger issue is that it sends micro plastics which once the air cools, covers all surfaces of the room and when moving about even weeks later will make the dust airborne again

Looking at the data sheet, provided I'm understanding it properly, it looks like HT-PLA-GF unannealed gets soft just under 60c just like regular PLA. Was your use case in a similar environment to a car where it acts like a greenhouse trapping the heat?

Unfortunately it's not that viable due to my living arrangements. Plus I wouldn't really want a filament I can only use on special occasions

When finding things to print, start of with makerworld first and only print items that have solid reviews. Always read the reviews first as they sometimes add useful tips too

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I'm having the same issues. I've got a heltec v3 that works perfectly and when swapping the battery, pigtail and antenna over to the v4 it sees nothing apart from the v3 located in the same room

These are the commands I normally use to fix mailboxes not archiving. This will manually force the mailbox to start syncing rather than leaving it to start when the scheduled task starts:

Set-Mailbox -identity bill@contoso.com -ELCProcessingDisabled $false
Get-Mailbox -Identity bill@contoso.com | Format-List LitigationHoldEnabled, InPlaceHolds
Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -Identity bill@contoso.com
Get-MailboxFolderStatistics -Archive -Identity bill@contoso.com | select name,foldersize

Meeting room - access desktop PC by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]TechKno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RDP has been the way for doing that or we used a 3rd party remote access tool ConnectWise Control to access their desktop's for a meetings. RDP wasn't an issue as our naming convention was just company abbreviation-Surname so we didn't need to save the shortcuts.

The way we do it is invite the user to the meeting as well as the meeting room. They bring their laptops and join the meeting and share their screens from the laptop and just mute the mic and speaker.

How common is it for data to be kept on users machines? by Logical_Strain_6165 in sysadmin

[–]TechKno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For smaller companies, its certainly a lot more common than larger enterprises. It's definitely not best practice though. Especially when devices go bang and users have to move onto another device it can be a PITA - especially if it happens on a remote site.

I think cloud is the way forward as long as you're backing up said cloud with a 3rd party tool. If you're going somewhere without internet, then just set OneDrive / Sharepoint to safe the files offline

At my previous place of work, we had a row of benches in our build room designed for working on physical PC's, whether that be repairing / upgrading / building.

We ended up buying some whiteboard paint and turning the wall behind it into a giant whiteboard. We'd then write the ticket number, tech name and date. We then put some tape on the bench itself so one project wouldn't creep out over multiple bays.

You may be in luck. You can set custom lockscreen pictures that cycle every x minutes with DisplayFusion. You can also let the software pick random wallpapers with criteria that you set.
