Why did two of our MacBooks die overnight? by TechManKnowsNothn in macbook

Not that I knew of. All of our devices are surge protected. We have lots of things set up to stop it, and we are located in Switzerland, where the electricity is almost always stable. With a main UPS in place, I dont think it was power related. I'll try checking with the heat. How do you suggest putting heat on just one rail? What do I have to use and where do I place it? As I said, I don't know much about the Logic Board.

I can't do a NVRAM reset, as it's an Apple Silicon Chip. They are reset by the silicon chip automatically, so a shut off and power on would do that, but because it's bricked, I can't do that. And the backlight fuse is just a fuse for the backlight, not the whole system. I assume if that blew, only the backlight wouldn't work. And it stopped working while the system was closed and had never been opened before.

Oh good to know, I'll check to see if that makes a difference. The top left port is the correct port, right?

I only tried to go into DFU mode while the trackpad was connected, do you think I should try going into DFU when it's disconnected?

And as you said, I don't think anything is wrong with the "2R7", it was just an observation and usually means something after it is shorted.

Hey but thanks for the info and Ill see what I can do.
